NY Pizza Suprema

“In the mix of all the crappy pizza places around Penn Station this one shines bright, and I will absolutely be back.”

“About the joint itself– like most NY pizza places it's great to run in and grab a slice or too.”

“On a 45 min Amtrak layover en route to DC, I got off the train and ambled upstairs for something to eat.”

  1. This place is legit, not sure how highly regarded this place is but its amazing. One of the best I've had. Has a great sauce, yummy cheese, and a lovely thin crust. Comes together like a champ. This is one place that lives up to the NYC pizza hype. Not too far from Pennsylvania Station for those coming in on the train or visiting MSG. Check this one out for a quality slice of pizza.

  2. Excellent NYC pizza! I called these guys for delivery to a local hotel, and they were awesome! Delicious pizza, friendly and accommodating customer service on the phone and in person.

The crust gets a little chewy when the heat wears off, but still awesome!

  3. I cannot believe I live this close to this place and have never been. I'll admit I thought it was a tourist trap but no, this place really does have good pizza. I had the Napolitano and was blown away by the flavor, freshness of the ingredients, and crispness of the crust and dough. Would definitely come back and totally recommend this place to everyone. Plus it's really really cheap and there's a lot of seating. It really does feel that that classic NYC experience haha.

  4. A pizza shop with a long history by Penn station that offers great pizza at a reasonable price.  Once you walk into the store, there's a display case to your right and you could pick out which pizza slices you want to order. There's often a line depending on what time of the day you visit, but the line moves very quickly.  They have plenty of seats at the back, so you don't have to carry your pizza slices outside to eat while you are walking.

  5. NY Pizza Suprema is my LUV!!! Definitely my favorite pizza in the city and I will travel to midtown to get that perfect slice. As mentioned in other reviews, I am of the opinion that New York style pizza can be an obsession for some. I am firmly in that camp. In all of the years I have been coming here…they have NEVER failed me, thank the "Pizza Fairies" :-). Five stars for consistently, excellent slices of pizza, every time–that can't be easy, right?

If you are doubtful, let me just say…if you're looking for brick/coal oven, Neapolitan pizza…this is NOT it! Ok, so let me describe the "perfect slice":

    1) Sold by the slice (they excel in serving the Best pizza by the slice IMHO).
    2) Thin, crispy crust that folds!
    3) Slightly sweet sauce (sign says they use 4 different types of sauce–can I just say Yum)!
    4) Homemade, semi salty, fresh Mozzarella!
    5) Brought down to room temperature, add some extra cheese, back in the oven to seal in the crispy crust, then Voila!!! Bam! Perfect slice of pizza people!

As I'm writing, pizza sauce is all over my mouth and I probably have cheese on my chin. When a pizza place has you looking like a clown, it must be darn good! Usually, this is one of my first stops in the city. However, during this last trip I tried to give other pizza places a chance, with moderate success. NY Pizza Suprema is definitely representative of a definitive and popular style of New York cheese pizza. This is nearly impossible to find outside of New York, I have tried in every city I have visited…and just gave up. Anyway, you just might want to get you some, ok. Hope you enjoy and Happy Eating!!!

  6. The perfect New York Pizza.

The outside of this small pizza parlor is rather unimpressive, but opening the doors, you'll be greeted with the smells of freshly baking dough, garlic, and onions.  NY Pizza Suprema is a restaurant filled with passionate employees who takes orders fast and promptly delivers crispy, juicy, and flavorful pizzas.  Don't expect dollar slices here, but most specialty pizza's go for around $4 per slice, a very reasonable amount for top quality pizza.

If you just got out of Penn Station and need a bite, go no further than NY Pizza Suprema.

  7. I love that I now know that I can get quality pizza right next to Penn Station! The idea of getting a quick slice before a Rangers game is something great. I take my slice of pizzas seriously.

I don't eat Dominoes, Papa Johns, Pizza Hut, or any other chain pizza place. I go to where the locals (and sometimes tourists) go. Pizza Suprema is the real deal!

I ordered the classic Margarita slice and the vegan/veggie square slice. They were both utterly delicious and perfectly cooked. I took my friend from Canada here. I wanted him to taste the real NY style slice.

    We both were satisfied.

Go to Pizza Suprema! Try it out! I want to order a pie next time!

  8. NY Pizza Suprema isn't just a convenient location attracting tourists. The pizza here is indeed delicious. Compared to other popular pizza-by-the-slice joints, this place has a good amount of seats.

Prices are reasonable, and the variety here is impressive.
