  1. I love this place! I picked up a smoothie and sambusa for lunch before hopping on the 1 train, and both were delicious. The Times Square smoothie had mango, almond butter, and kale, among other things, and was the perfect balance of sweet, nutty and "green"– fairly filling but not too heavy. The vegetarian sambusa was filled with nicely spiced, large lentils. Both were ready for me in under two minutes.

A smoothie and sambusa came to $7. If I lived in the neighborhood I'd be here multiple times a week for quick lunches or afternoon pick-me-ups.

  2. Arriving an hour early for a dinner reservation with a friend, I needed to find somewhere to get a coffee and hang out.  However, after seeing the raves about Oasis Jimma Juice Bar, I stopped in here instead for a smoothie.

I ordered a delicious 12 oz. Banana Berry Smoothie ($4.90 w tax).  There were lots of berries and bananas, and the smoothie wasn't icy and gross like some places.  I liked the use of yogurt because it makes the smoothie really thick and delicious.  There were lots of more unique options as well.

The interior has 6 counter seats and is a bit loud due to the blender running constantly, but it filled my needs perfectly!  The staff was very friendly, and there was a constant flow of people in and out.

    Credit cards accepted.

  3. As someone who is trying to cut down/burn fat this summer, I want to say THANK YOU. I got the (daily?) special which was a smoothie with avocado, bananas, kale, coconut oil, and almond milk and it was amaze-balls.

The flavor! Oh my god, real depth right here. It was just perfect amount of sweetness for someone trying to go healthy. I was able to taste all the ingredients together (except kale, thank god. although it provided some texture) and it was light yet creamy and elegant.

I might just come here everyday for my dinner detox 🙁

  4. If you love fresh ingredients, great service and your nutrients in liquid form, this is for you:

Exit the 1 train at 125th Street station and you'll be pleased to find this gem on the west side of the street. Not only do they offer a wide variety of juices and smoothies, but Oasis Jimma Juice Bar is serving up healthy tips, positive vibes, and a friendly atmosphere with free Wi-Fi! Does it get any better than that?!

It's a bit dark inside and I wouldn't recommend hanging out for very long due to the small space, but when you're on Morningside Campus and in need of a quick, healthy fix this may be the answer you've been searching for.

The juice and smoothie menus are quite extensive and offer so much variety it can be difficult to make up your mind. Never fear- tell the lovely lady behind the counter what ails you, or what kind of natural boost you're in search of, and she'll point you in the right direction.  I particularly love menu the "Juice Pharmacy", which is exactly what it sounds like- A blended, nutritious, fiber-free concoction for your metabolic boost, your detox needs and even a "Healthy Skin" juice, if you've had any unwanted friends pop up lately. 😉

I usually go with the "Dr. Oz Green Juice" which is a ton of goodies that will help you keep your energy up all day long, and generally helps to ward off any nasty mcgerms you might cross paths with. It consists of kale, spinach, parsley, celery, apple, cucumber, lemon, lime, and ginger!

I'm not that into smoothies-something about the texture- but I'm certain that they're equally delicious and fresh. I mean, this morning I ordered a "Healthy Skin" and watched my server retrieve a giant piece of aloe leaf, cut it open, and throw that bad boy in the juicer. It can't get any better than this, and a giant plus here is that the prices are reasonable. You could spend twice as much in similar establishments, and get half the juice/smoothie. I love it here, AND it's close to the office. I'm so happy I've found my very own Oasis!

  5. This place is the best! Tired of fancy pressed juice places and wanting just a simple smoothie (for some reason there's a serious dearth of smoothie joints in New York…), I stopped in here between classes. Everybody working here is always super nice and happy, joking around, but still pretty speedy with orders, given that they blend drinks up fresh to order. I love how cheap this place is compared to basically any other juice place — if you head down to the newly opened Pressed Juicery, you can easily spend the same amount on a much smaller drink. And here, the drinks are made right in front of you, rather than prepackaged, which really makes a difference since juice loses nutritional value quickly over time. I tend to get the passion fruit blend smoothie and I keep meaning to try something new, but it's hard when it's so good! The only downside is that it's pretty cramped and a tad dark inside so it's not the best spot to study in, but it's nice to duck into to pick up a drink when you need a healthy pick-me-up.

  6. Excellent juice bar. Phenomenal caring staff and endless options/ingredients. I went with the special which somehow combined kale, parsley and papaya and some other veggies in a way that was fresh/novel. Prices are spot on too. I'll definitely be back.

  7. What a little gem! I had some time to kill in the neighborhood, so I was so glad I stumbled upon Oasis (truly an oasis) Juice Bar, with its myriad varieties of juices and smoothies, a salad bar, some Ethiopian options, some bar-style seating and FREE WIFI.

I ordered a kale, apple, lemon, and watermelon juice, which totally satisfied the watermelon craving I had been having. In fact, it hardly tasted like the kale juice that it was. The medium size wasn't too expensive either – less than $6. I felt sad that I couldn't get ALL the juices because they sounded so good.

After sitting for a little while and doing work, I decided I was hungry too, so I got a salad from the salad bar. They don't have very many options for add-ins, but it was enough for me. I had spinach, chickpeas, pumpkin seeds, marinated mushrooms, peppers, dried cranberries, and dates (only about $6!). The employee recommended the spicy cilantro dressing. While I appreciated the dressing's fresh, homemade nature, I want to advise you that the ish is SPICY. BEWARE. I may or may not have been crying into my salad. Still liked it, though.

I am a little sad that I live so far away from Oasis because I'd probably go there a few times a week. GO so I can live vicariously through you!

  8. Oasis is a total gem: fresh product, timely & friendly counter service at a very reasonable price.

Everything I've tried from Oasis has been great, though the Times Square smoothie is my current favourite. I also recommend the Mango Smoothie, Green Apple Smoothie and Beet It Juice, as well as their samosas.
