This is an adorable hidden spot for either date night dinner or drinks on the Upper East Side.
While Ola vivabar is tucked away, it is not to be missed! Similar vibe to wine bar Pil Pil, the space is tiny, intimate and cozy.
We came here for a few drinks during a rainy Thursday, and found a perfect little spot by the window. As others mentioned, the prices are very reasonable compared to other spots, and the service is great. Most of the cocktails offered are $10.00 and below, and the highlighted dishes fall under $20.00.
While I especially enjoyed my black cherry mojito, minus one star for the overly sweet, maraschino-infused old fashioned.
We will be returning to try dinner!
Local neighborhood teeny Spanish themed restaurant.
The inside is very cozy and romantic, the drinks are great! Super spicy margaritas, the gingerbread margarita will definitely do its job of welcoming the weekend.
We ordered the flounder and chicken tacos…. So good!! The founder had this sweet basaltic glaze that was super delicious.
The chips and guac was fresh and chips weren't greasy, the chocolate soufflé was also pretty good, but not the star of the night.
They have outside seating, nice friendly service, and and a nice big bar area!
Poor. The one star is for the yummy beef empanadas. Everything else was just plain meh. Starting off with the Guacamole which came out in 30seconds of ordering (clearly made beforehand and stored in a fridge I assume) just tastes off, lacked flavor and started showing hints of oxidization. Shrimp/Octopus ceviche was Ok, tons of seafood but barely any citrus or kick which is key to any ceviche. Last but not least the drinks were disappointing the gingerbread margarita tasted nothing like what's described on the menu. Lame.
So glad we cut our dinner short and went to dinner elsewhere. This place needs help.
Really cute, charming new Latin bar / restaurant on the upper east side. Small space, but some bar seating and a few tables for eating.
I've walked past this so many times and been curious to check it out – stopped by for a drink tonight and had their special, Donnabella, very good!
Manager and bartender were both very friendly!
Recommend for a date or cute cozy place to meet with a friend.
Cozy little spot I had walked by many times time and was dying to try. The place is very small and get a little cramped on a weekend evening but the food was lovely and I am a sucker for michaelada's so we definitely enjoyed. The service was pretty good, had a couple of different people checking on us, but were very nice and accommodating. A nice new neighborhood option!
