Location: The place seems to embed in Poland neighborhood. The place is not hard to be found – take G train and get off at Greenpoint Ave… you will see the place.
The store is tiny – hard for more than 3 people to stand at the same time. The store seems to do every bakery – they have babka, donut, bread and so on. The store does have a sign but the name is not Old Poland Bakery somehow…
Food: since it's call poland bakery, I went for their donut. Chocolate donut with boston cream I think the poland version of donut is …something I couldn't stand. It's not particularly because of this place but other poland place where they served donuts all tastes bland. The dough is not chewy enough for another bite and the inside jelly isn't good as well.
Price: it's cheap.
Service:… They seem to speak less fluently in English. Attitude is very …
Authentic Polish bakery with house baked breads & Polish pastries as well as some good dilly egg salad. Went here on Sunday before Sandy and the line was out the door. They sell their fresh breads in quarters which sometimes are $1.40 for real European rye, country whites, dark bread, baguettes. There are some prepared foods as well. This is what Williamsburg was pre-hipster a European inspired old school nabe joint. Old Poland rocks!
