The service was quite slow and they seemed quite confused but the delicious and fresh food made up for that. I liked the ground beef, fried fish, and steak tacos the best. 🙂
I would definitely come back again if I'm ever in the area again.
I was happy to hear that this new Mexican joint had opened up at the old location of La Grille, its only 7 minutes away from my job. I hadn't had my Mexican lunch fix in a while so I was quick to call in and place an order. The ordering process was quick and I was able to pickup my food within 10 minutes. They don't deliver and the cashier informed me they wont be because the food doesnt travel well. That's unfortunate, there are a ton of businesses in the area that would benefit from a delivery option; Hopefully they'll reconsider.
The cashier was friendly. He forgot to give me utensils and napkins but no biggie. I ordered a burrito bowl for $8 and some change, it was a large portion definitely worth the price. The bowl had more rice than anything but there was an ample amount of beans, chicken, peppers and onions too. Next time ill just request more lettuce and a dressing (if they have).
The place looks very clean, there's a good amount of standing space so you can eat in. The food is out buffet style and put together in front of you, like other Yelpers said, similar to Chipotle. The guacamole looked delicious so I'm looking forward to trying that. I enjoyed my lunch and will be telling my coworkers about this spot.
My husband and I wanted to try something new for dinner and I'm so glad he found this place! A bit of a drive for us but worth it! It's in a semi residential area but we were lucky to find parking right next to the restaurant. Seems like spots open quick because everyone is doing take out from this spot!
At first glance, you could tell the place was very clean and organized. I love that it's small and you can see all the prep work from afar. All the ingredients and meats looked fresh. The staff is very nice and friendly! We ordered the taco trio which was nice that we could pick some soft and soft hard shell. We had the chicken and ground beef with a variety of pico de gallo, mild corn salsa, lettuce, sour cream and guac (which is very popular here because it was almost out but they were making a fresh batch). We also ordered the fish burrito bowl (not on the menu but they will make it for you when you ask). I really liked that they fried the fish on the spot. Very fresh and great flavor! We chose brown rice, peppers, onions, pinto beans, corn salsa and cole slaw for the burrito bowl. Great combo. The fish added solid flavor. That batter mix is good!
I love that while they have a simple menu, you can pretty much customize it however you want. The prices are great! I'm digging this so much more than chipotle. Great portions, prices and super nice staff.
My father in law said they make a mean fish taco. Have to admit, he's right. He said yesterday thr fish taco was loaded up and he was able to split it with his wife, today it wasn't enormous. Nonetheless it was very tasty. The fish was as long as my hand and deep fried but not oily. Their cabbage toppings was good. Their braised beef taco was good but I liked the fish taco better.
We saw people eating a burrito that was huge.
The place is new and clean. I would come here again.
**THIS PLACE IS CASH ONLY!!!**
the food was okay.. fresh.. i guess.
i ordered looking at their online menu and when my parents went to go pay my mom called me saying they only took cash. nowhere on their website did it say that or nobody even mentioned it to me when i ordered over the phone so that was really inconvenient. not only that i had to make another trip (2 trips total) because they got my order messed up.
will probably be back though.
The fish burrito bowl did not disappoint! It was the perfect meal after a work out. I loved how the toppings seemed endless (except $2 for guac) and I was completely satisfied with my super loaded bowl, the highlights being the corn and the mango salsa. The fish was fried to order and completely tender and had a great crunch factor to it. The bowl tasted so fresh and healthy! I've never been a fan of Chipotle but Ole Mexican Grille has won me over.
The fish tacos here are really good and they are made to order.. The salad bowls with the lime dressing are amazing here.. The set up of this place reminds me of chipotle.. The only set back is that they only take cash.. Great addition to the neighborhood
Passed this place by and decided that I should give it a shot. The Yelp reviews and pictures seemed favorable so I decided to go with it. Upon entering, I noticed the place was pretty small and basically just like a Chipotle, Qdoba, and Moe's southwest grill sort of setup, fine by me.
The menu looked pretty similar to the rest, as well as the assembly line food options. The quality didn't seem that comparable to chipotle in some of the stuff, like the iceberg lettuce or the pico de gallo. There were about 5 or 6 guys working there and only one was on the assembly line. Two were hanging around, one was chopping some chicken up while on his cell phone (bacteria alert) and another was just hanging out at the register. Oh, and one was preparing what looked like his own food rather than tending to me and my friend , and we're the only people there.
It was pretty much just one guy working down the line putting my friends food together, while I'm waiting there for him to finish and come back to me. Subway has a better and efficient system, and Chipotles is even beyond that. If you have 5-6 guys sitting around, bring them onto the assembly line!
By the time the guy got to me my friend was already paying for the food, then came my turn. The beans were thicker and creamier than chipotle's, a major plus. And most of the ingredients looked pretty good. Major shout out to the one guy who did pretty much all the work. We got our food and drinks and were well on our way. We took it to go and sat down to eat it later.
The burrito was really runny but delicious, all the flavors were on point and I have to admit they're beyond that Moe's southwest grill and taco bell level, pretty much up there with Chipotle; however, they just gotta work on the service. Efficiency is a huge part of assembly line eateries like this, and mismanagement can drive away customers despite how good the food is. I'll give it some time until they perfect their craft before I return. BTW GUAC SHOULD BE FREE! Hey, Qdoba does it.
