  1. Probably one of the worst meals I have had in years! Entertaining my dad because he loves OG's chicken parm, our party of seven had an awful experience here food wise. The service was pretty off par as well.

Everything here seems like you could buy it in the frozen section your local supermarket and nuke it. The cheese on top of many of the dishes isn't even fully melted. The shrimp in the create your own pasta dish was mushy and undercooked (we had to send it back). One of our chicken parm orders had a hair in it and was cold (like it had been frozen and not cooked/heat through). The kid's mac and cheese was tasteless; even for a two year old! Mushroom apps were bland and lacked flavor. There's no regular linguine (just whole wheat) or penne (tri-color). There were some bright spots though: the eggplant parm was crispy and one of the best dishes on the table (not sure what that's saying). The soup (minestrone), salad and breadsticks were addicting. They must put crack in there so you don't give a crap when your shitty entree actually arrives.

The service was pretty awful. We waited so long for simple things like water, place settings and parm cheese. Drinks took even longer. Don't even get me started on the table maintenance; piss poor. And it wasn't even packed.

Look, you come to Olive Garden without the highest expectations, but this was even worse than the low expectations we came in with. Don't even waste your time.

  2. Good food as usual. But this visit the waitress was not very attentive. We were sat and it took the waitress nearly 20 mins to come to table and see if we wanted drinks. Never introduced herself at all. Once took the drink order. that took 15 mins to get.
Bread came out with the salad. Food was out later than normal and not hot. Ended up skipping desert and just taking the dinner home. Luckily it was good after heating as well.

  3. The four stars is for the service. The food wasn't bad by any means, it is what I expected. However, Jamal was a great server. Accommodating, offered great suggestions on meal options and courteous. Four stars for Jamal.

  4. 2nd and last time at Olive Burden. Went once about 19 years ago, and a friend dragged me here by starving me slowly then parking her car here and telling me I could eat here or claw my eyes out. It's brightly lit, more like a carpeted old-folks' home dining room, complete with chairs with rolling wheels on the bottom (!!!!). The food was a nightmare: dried garlicky salty breadsticks, charred fondue, and a disgusting plate of mushroom ravioli; the sauce was supposed to be sundried tomato but was more like a nasty cream sauce with some diced plum tomatoes, all covered in raw scallions… revolting. The service was totally weird, with the hostess taking our order, apologizing for the waitress, then the waitress coming over to say hi and apologize for herself. Then the waitress came back to tell my friend her steak wasn't available tonight. She asked for a different kind of steak prepared the same, and the waitress never came to say if it was available. Hostess came back and asked if all was ok and we asked if she could go find out if steak2 was available. Manager came over to smile and ask if things were ok. Hostess came back to confirm steak2 was a go. Watching my friend slice the gristle off it was gnarly. Oh, salad was OK. Stomach hates me today.  One word: NASTY. Also, not really that cheap.

  5. I've found that the entrees are big enough so that splitting one with whomever you're eating with is less expensive but still satiating.
