If you live in Rye, or you are visiting the neighborhood, this is a really excellent breakfast, brunch and lunch restaurant.
The menu offers a wide choice of meals at reasonable prices; and the service and food quality is first class.
I really enjoy eating here. This place has great ambiance and is a local gem.
Pleasantly surprised by this place after my coworker and I found it on Yelp looking for alternatives to diners for a sit down breakfast.
Prices were a little higher than I was expecting but not completely unreasonable – I think the menu/dishes are unique and have some nice touches and the decor is more appealing than your typical diner as well.
I had the Tuscan sunny side up eggs which were delicious – crispy Italian bread brushed with olive oil, topped with ham and sunny side up eggs with some spices on the top – red pepper/chili flakes. Only semi-disappointment with the food was the home fries – way over seasoned with salt/paprika.
Came around 7:15AM on a Wednesday (random, I know) and didn't have any crowds, I could see how this place could get packed on the weekends.
Service was friendly and attentive; I'd come back.
I wish I was local so I could go more often.
I went here while I was in New Cannan for work and we were looking for a solid, hardy breakfast — something that isn't easy to find when traveling for work with a small timeline.
I ordered a dish that was on the specials list and I will say, it has changed my entire way of eating eggs.
They made poached eggs but instead of using just water to boil and poach, they did it in tomato sauce. It added flavor, spice and was a delicious sauce to accompany my breakfast. Since then, it inspired me to do the same and even take it a step further, salsa/hot sauce.
This cafe was delightful. Great mum and pop vibe, kind servers and cashier, great food with a wonderful taste and not too hard on the pocketbook.
Again, if I could, I would be a regular!
