  1. Randomly walked in, tried a sample, fell in love. This was the best vegan smoothie I've ever had. I have no idea what was in it, but it was creamy and perfectly in texture. The guy working here was also super charming. Love the throwback jams they play here too. Great place for a healthy pick-me-up!

  2. Organic Avenue is open bright and early so that you can have an healthy start to your morning. I have a bad habit of stopping for coffee on my way to work, then giving in to temptation and getting an unhealthy muffin or scone, thereby negating any exercise I get on the walk. I decided to try to turn a new leaf and stopped at this Nolita location for a smoothie. I even went with the Lite Weight smoothie… I'm not sure what makes it 'lite' exactly, but it has kale, pineapple, and mango and sounded the tastiest.

The staff seemed very uninterested and distracted – though there was only one other person in the store. It irks me when you know that they know that you're standing there but they refuse to acknowledge you or even ask you to hold on. It's so awkward!

As for the smoothie itself, it was tasty and healthy, but it was also $9! Fresh juices aren't cheap, I know, but $9 for a medium sized plastic cup seemed too high to make this a regular morning stop.

At least I can say I made an effort at healthy living. Now pass those muffins!

  3. super happy to have organic avenue back. I'm a bit sad that the menu is different 🙁 i came back thinking i could get my favorite smoothie again 🙁 also, their store hours are a little weird. I think they're still trying to figure out when they close cause yelp says 7 and i came 30 minutes before 7 and they were already closing up 🙁 .. happened three times!! but i won't ding any stars, I'm just happy they're back cause i love their smoothies and juices.

  4. I love Organic Avenue, especially their coffee. They have my favorite brewed coffee in town and it is organic too. They have fresh cashew hemp "milk" or almond "milk" to add to your coffee. I recommend the delicious cashew hemp!

They have a large selection of ready-to-go vegan wraps, sandwiches (hot and cold) , salads, soups and cold-pressed juices! They also have some sweet stuff like vegan yogurt, chocolate mousse. The selection does vary! Not everything is Raw but there are raw options. I love the Big Kale Salad, vegan "egg" salad sandwich and avocado chocolate mousse.

They make fresh blended smoothies as well. This location has gluten-free muffins up front in a variety of flavors, and also some packaged raw vegan chocolate and goodies.

Everything is vegan & organic! So as expected, things can be pricey,  but I wouldn't say exorbitant or above what you would expect to pay for organic juice or salad in NYC.

This location itself has a nice open layout and I've  always had great service! FYI there is also a bathroom.

All in all I frequently come to this Organic Avenue for great coffee and/or a simple quick healthy bite that tastes great!

  5. I stopped by when I was looking to a healthy start to my day. I will say that the staff is super friendly and they always have free samples of juices/smoothies. They even told me that if I liked one of the juices, they'd open it to give me a sample.

Note that this location actually makes fresh smoothies and juices on the spot. I will say that the pre-packaged vegan wrap I bought was nothing out of the ordinary (i.e. Thai lettuce wrap). I did try the Sweetheart smoothie and some tea. Both were decent, but I felt like it was really overpriced. You should be getting more for $9 wraps and smoothies.

Overall, it's just alright but really pricey. Also, seating area is inconvenient.

  6. I just wanted a little something to tide me over until lunch-time. The sales woman recommended the Berry Blast Smoothie- never again. Really banana-y– not even that strong in berry flavor, thick and just unpleasant. I tried to finish it because it wasn't cheap (~$8) but I just couldn't make myself. I understand being healthy and I'm definitely into fresh juices, but I would not get their berry blast smoothie again.

  7. Can't say my smoothie wasn't tasty, but it was not worth almost $10. It was watery (compared to liquiteria and juice generation smoothies) and way too sweet (my lite weight smoothie had 20+ grams of sugar). I can get a better green smoothie at other smoothie places for a couple dollars less.

  8. Super friendly staff, great food…healthy, fresh, organic, and decently priced.  This location is also super close to the 6 train and is great for hanging out and people watching.
