Randomly stopped in on a Saturday early evening. We were given the option of sitting outside or inside — chose inside because it looked like it was going to rain (and it did).
The inside is really cool – I mean "downtown" cool because we don't have too many cool, trendy places uptown . . . yet. The server was super sweet — she gave us a dissertation about the drinks and how best to order food: answer, order food from heaviest to lightest first. But we opted to try some tacos, rather than a full meal.
In fairness, the taco size was exactly what I expected based on my experience with other similar taco-places in the city (i.e., Los Tacos No. 1 and Salvation Taco) — they are small-ish. The difference here is that they had many more taco choices than other street-food size taco places I've tried. The prices were fair ($4 per taco, which is less than April Bloomfield's place).
We liked all the tacos.
They bring chips and salsa, which are all freshly-made in the restaurant. I only tried one chip and salsa (for diet reasons): the chips were good; the salsa was spicy, but for some reason didn't seem to have flavor.
By the time we left, the place was pretty packed.
I'd definitely return because it's in my hood, they had good service, and I liked the menu.
