“i took a pull apart water challah for shabbos and could not keep my nose out of the strand cords of my piece of challah to inhale them.”

  1. Ostrovitsky's would easily be a five star establishment, but they are held back big time by their approach towards customers . Not that they care. It's a kosher bakery and it's a pretty good kosher bakery so they're going to keep getting business walking through the door, but here's the thing : if you don't keep kosher….you will easily find better bakeries.

    Their challah is great and their cakes are fantastic but the rudeness that customers experience here is just not worth it, if you ask me. You're being done a favor by them selling you a damn pastry, is the vibe they're going for.

    If I still kept kosher, then maybe I'd give them 4 stars because options are limited. But I don't. So a whole GALAXY of bakery options are open to me, where the staff are nice, and management cares about how they are perceived by the public.

    Italian bakeries sometimes do challah, too, you know. And any Italian bakery I've been to is a multitude more pleasant than the nicest person in here.

    Worth trying, not worth returning.

  2. Been coming here since i was young, at their old crusty location. This newer one definitely looks a lot better and i love that the displays are so clean and show the desserts and cookies nicely. Makes me want to get a little of everything so dont come hungry!

  3. Great service and even better cakes and cookies. I loved their butter cookies. Came in here to get a birthday cake and left very pleased. The proces are reasonable as well.

    The only down side is there is no parking anywhere near this place.
