This Outback was packed on this Thursday night. I usually get salmon but last time it wasn't enjoyable so I decided to get the ribs even though it was a different location. I got the Full Rack with Broccoli with the intent to take some home. Since the Full Rack came out looking more like a Half Rack, I terminated my whole plate. They were really tender and the BBQ sauce was really good. I also ordered the potato soup with my meal which was excellent, but on the small portion side too. Thank God for the loaves of bread! They took care of the remaining hunger pain.
My sangria was great! I highly recommend it. Plus it's only $5.75!
Welcome to the land of mediocre. Nothing special here, but not terrible. I have been here several times. Service is usually on the slow side, but not terrible. Meals are inconsistent. I would have thought that they would be able to consistently cook steaks to order since the are a steak house, but they struggle with this. My last time here we were a party of four and only one of four steaks was cooked correctly. I would never seek out the outback on my own, but when dining with grandparents that only eat simple meals like meats and veggies this place is a decent idea. Overall it's a meal.
I haven't been to an Outback in a very long time and I didn't realize what I was missing, especially this Outback. The service is good, atmosphere is a typical Outback but the bar area has more of a sport event feeling.
First I ordered the french onion soup which was nothing special but the 1/2 rack of ribs was to die for. The meat fell right off of the ribs and was flavored to the bone. Ribs were very meaty and I'm glad I only got the 1/2 rack.
Desert I had the B-Day ice cream (It was my birthday!) which I think was fried but what ever they did to it, it was really good, simple but good.
I will definitely come back to this Outback because of the food and service. Also its 5 minutes north from where I live.
Thunder from Down Under
This Outback location is pretty consistently providing good , maybe even great, service! Always friendly , attentive, and courteous. Food is always delivered expeditiously & with a smile. The actual dining room is fairly large and spacious & can handle the busy dinner crowds without feeling too cramped.
There's a large bar with tables available to enjoy your meal or drink. The bar is well equipped with TV's.
The food? Well if you haven't been to Outback- I strongly suggest it. The food is pretty darn good. Mostly steaks are served, Not the best steak I've had – but for that "franchise restaurant" it's really not bad. Seasoned & tasty. The apps are all great , gotta have that Bloomin' Onion, and desserts are amazing. They also serve other items besides steak.
The only Gripe I have- THEY NEVER GET THE TEMPERATURE OF THE BEEF RIGHT.
This is a review based on a large takeout order for three adults and 3 kiddos.
The food was very yummy when we got to eat it and the taste is not a concern in anyway. The new Marsala steak i had was delicious and I loved the thick and rich nature of the sauce. My kids loved the burger and mac and cheese ordered and there was none left. So this was the good side. The attitude of the people who helped us was also very good. However, a couple of stars needed to come off for the following:
1) all steaks were medium rare to medium at best and we clearly selected the medium well selection on-line for one of the steaks.
2) We asked for silverware and none was provided. this required us to stop off home to get silverware when we were going to eat at the park. Which caused a bit of a delay.
Again, no stars removed for taste.
The food the last time I was here, was pretty okay. The service however, was not. Me and 2 other people walk in. We went up to the hostess and told that we were a group of 3. Despite the restaurant being nearly empty, we had to wait for some time to be seated. When we finally got to our table we had more waiting to do. Our server didn't come to get a drink order for about 10 or 15 minutes. After that, they disappeared again for a little bit. When we finally ordered, we had to wait another 30-45 minutes for our food, despite the restaurant being nearly empty. When we noticed our food coming out, the server walked past our table, and looked confused when he didn't see us, meanwhile we were the only table in their section (apparently).
This Outback is pretty hit or miss depending on your hostess and which waitstaff is working that night. In the past I would give it one or two stars, but I was impressed last night with the waiter and the fresh changes to the menu.
On a food level, everything seems pretty calorie heavy but low on great flavors…but I will admit that their new additions to the menu seem to try and correct this issue. I had the Hearts of Gold Mahi and it was actually one of the best meals I've ever had at Outback (I've never been impressed before but my friends like it here for the drinks). The bread is always delicious. The house salad was also very fresh and the tangy tomato dressing was pretty delicious. I also like that they serve the baked potatoes with scallions, cheese, sour cream and/or butter depending on what you like. The side of vegetables was also crisp and not overcooked. The portions are pretty big so I had no room for dessert. They also always make a good, stiff drink…and their trio of drinks special (forgot name) is fantastic. I think three flavors of margaritas? And I usually don't like them.
Overall, for a chain, they did a pretty good job with their new items and you can tell that they now pay attention to their food. Good job!
I was very impressed with our waiter (Al) and thought that he was very knowledgeable about all specials and each dish so he was able to give some great recommendations. He was quick about serving us and friendly, but not so friendly that he was annoying, Just perfect.
The bathroom did smell very bad and was a bit dirty (turn off) and the crowd was extremely loud but it was a Friday night so that was ok. The hostess at the front was a bit snippy and didn't seem like she liked her job and also offered us to seat ourselves by the bar even though I said I didn't want to…luckily someone else sat there and then our 20 minute wait somehow turned into 5 min.
I would say it's an average place if you don't feel like getting dressed up and want to eat some normal food out….however, the prices are a bit high
