I bought a car at a Westchester dealership and my DH and I stopped here for convenience's sake. I don't know what we were thinking
One star for the Bloomin' Onion. One star for the Blueberry Martini.
No further stars because dinner was ass. We told the waiter who basically didn't give a shit. The salad was drenched and soggy. The meat was lukewarm and should have been served hot off the grill, not left to sit under some cook lights to toughen it up.
The space of time between courses was interminably long. This is the kind of place you go to when you live the suburban life and have nowhere else to go. The staff figures you've got nothing better to do and being there consists of your entire evening out.
Eating here reminded me never to move out of NYC.
4.5 STARS
Haven't been to an Outback in awhile. This location can be hit or miss but boy was it a HUGE hit this last time around! I recently took my boyfriend for his birthday dinner & everything from service to food was done just right!
For starters, our server Jarrett, was extremely attentive! Great job Jarrett!! We've been here on other occasions where the wait staff was just draggin' ass. We were very pleased with the service. Jarrett even wisely reminded me when I first asked for my steak medium & then was on the verge of changing to medium-well, that he wasn't able to send back a steak that is too cooked to un-cook it. Yes, good thinkin'… And I was so happy I ended up sticking with the medium cause it was really very good!
Our usuals: To split: Grilled Shrimp on the Barbie (even better prepared than we've ever had it in the past). Next: Wedge salad (damn good). Him: Prime Rib. Me: Filet Mignon. Both: baked potato (loaded, on the side). To split: NY cheesecake with raspberry sauce (drool drool)!
Overall a fabulous experience! I'm only taking off 1/2 star due to a mess (huge puddle in the handicap stall in ladies room). They had the big yellow sign warning all to use caution but I wondered why they didn't just clean it up incase someone was seriously in need to use that stall. Also, in my opinion, they need a few more desserts to choose from. I think they only have like 4 choices. We're usually too stuffed from all the food anyhow, but a larger dessert menu might be nice. Other than that, awesome!!
Over the years, Outback used to be one of my go-to places for steak, tried this location many years ago one and came here for dinner with a friend recently.
Their wings are still great, service was polite & friendly, but the speed with which the appetizer, salad & entrees came out….we were done in an hour!!!! To be fair….I completely understand that chain restaurants want to have a high turnover, so they don't really want you to be hogging a table for 3 hrs I guess. The 10oz ribeye had probably about 4ozs of fat in it.
I thinks it's a personal preference thing….i just don't enjoy 'chain' dining anymore. I've been going to too many nice restaurants, my palate has evolved and has more sophisticated tastes now, not to mention I am not used to being rushed through my dining experience!
So honey, it's not you, it's me 🙂
After reading the past few reviews, I am a little surprised that my experience at Outback was a little bit better than others. I am not saying that Outback is great but it was definitely decent for the price. The service is alright here. Have nothing to complain or compliment about.
The chicken quesadillas are awesome, very tasty. Also the salmon is pretty good. Tender, pretty good. The onion blast appetizer is delicious. Definitely one of my favorites. The steak is pretty good. Overall, the food is decent and I would see myself going back again in a few months.
I personally am not a fan of chain restaurants but my sister wanted to come here as part 2 of her bday celebration. We ordered a bloomin onion (huge onion sliced into petals and deep fried served with dipping sauce) for the table. I think this is the only thing that was delivered to the table hot. I ordered an outback special which is steak with 2 sides, you can choose from 3 different sizes of steak. I ordered a 9 oz steak with garlic mash and grilled asparagus which seemed to take 45 min. I don't remember what everyone ordered but I remember that everyone complained that their food was cold. Was upset about eating cold food but I dont like sending food back because I don't trust what they would do to it smh lol.
When everyone was done eating brought in the cupcakes I brought my sister so we could sing happy birthday. The manager walked over and asked if we wanted them to sing so we agreed to let them do it. Three employees came over, sang happy birthday and left. I think the best part of the meal was the bloomin onion and the pomegranate martini, other than that it wasnt worth the drive to yonkers.
