We ran in the front door right before they closed around 3 am on a Tuesday night. We thought the door was locked but the guy inside waved us in through a different door. Although we were limited to fried chicken options, we settled for a small meal with mashed potatoes and biscuits. The guy behind the counter was very friendly and accommodating, and gave us extras of everything. He mentioned that the food was fresh, and based on the taste, it seemed right. The place itself was fairly clean and had a good amount of seating. I probably wouldn't stay to eat, but I only live a block away so that's a big deciding factor. I'd definitely come back again, especially for a quick, late-night meal. The food was easily 4 stars, but I have to add 1 just for how nice the owner(?) was.
I was craving some fries for lunch and I found this place on yelp. It was only two blocks away and the service was very quick and efficient. The cashiers were enthusiastic and professional and they processed orders very quickly. The fries were $2.17 with tax and were fresh and tasty. I wish there were more sauce options though! I only got ketchup.
I miss the pizza rolls!!! That damn high school moving next to them ruined everything. Aside from the no pizza here the chicken is good. They also don't do Gyros anymore of Gyro salads. Bring back these items please.
The workers always very friendly and they always remember you. I notice they are staying open more since they got the new sign. They don't look ghetto anymore on the outside.
I really enjoy their chicken & rice, corn and chicken. Its a fast food place it isn't fantastic food and its cheap. I like this place if I don't feel like making my own fried chicken. Love the biscuits & banana budding and my jelly rolls prove that…oh snap.
I was looking for food around 1am. my second night in NY. came up from subway.
There was empty and quite.
I ordered 3 pcs and coleslaw.
!!! hell yeah!!
crispy and soft. + ketchup and spicy sauce.
but chicken tender was bad.
If it could be a zero star, the customer service of this place completely deserves it.
I ordered thru seemless a fried chicken combo with an iced tea, they delivered a pepsi which i do not drink. I called them and this guy told me to call seemless and tell them that they only have pepsi. To be honest, their chicken is not bad but i will never order from here ever ever again
Update – I am changing my 5 star to 4 stars because I had a delivery the other day and I specifically asked for dark meat ONLY and I got white meat (breast and wings). I was extremely disappointed. I think taking a delivery order is very simple and not complicated so I was very surprised. Also, I asked the man who answered the phone if they are near the famous Citi Bank building in LIC and he said: I dunno. I had to use my GPS to find the place cause I am not familiar with the area and of course, the CITI building is right behind them.
Debating between 4 and 5 star… maybe its a solid 4.5 star…but what the hell, i'm really craving their chicken right now!!!
I use to work around the corner from here. I came here a few times despite being a health freak. There just aren't that many quick/good eating places in this part of LIC (i have a 30 minute lunch and walking down further will basically eat up my lunch time).
The 2-3 piece meal with biscuit, and side is extremely affordable…and its so delicious! I know i know, fried chicken is ALWAYS delicious…but this place has a different type of fried chicken! I can't really explain it.. its not breaded and the size is on the smaller size but that isn't really an issue. I consider it a positive as it helps eliminate that vision of chicken on growth hormone steroids that results in big pieces of chicken at other places.
The biscuits and mash potatoes are standard and a smaller portion, and fries are pretty good too. But the main star for me is the chicken. I always tell myself if i'm in manhattan, i'd skip over to LIC just for the chicken since its not that far into queens (one stop).
Staff has always been nice and friendly to me. The place is decent size with tables that are bused efficiently.
Best fried chicken in LIC area (fast food). Reasonably priced, quality and taste are on point. Frequent this place and also order 100+ pieces of chicken about once a month for weekly crew lunch. Everyone on my crews loves this chicken and always asks for it. Hot wings are especially good. Also try the spicy chicken sandwich (spicy grilled chicken breast, pickles, lettuce and mayo and a bun), simple but delicious. Ingredients are always fresh.
