I came to Pane e Vino for a Bridal shower. It was a room in the back that's indoors but with a skylight. It's not a private room, so there were people around us just having brunch, so it was a little weird.
While unlimited mimosas weren't a part of the bridal shower, a couple of us decided to pay extra for this option and it was totally worth it. I believe it was an extra $15 (as it would be if you came for a regular brunch). They were pretty attentive and kept our glasses filled. After a while, we asked so many times that they ended up just giving us a pitcher.
The food was not very good. The sausage omelette I ordered was overcooked and I couldn't even finish it. It's a good thing I opted for that unlimited drinks option to fill me up!
This is strictly for their Brunch. $15 all you can drink Bloody Mary, Mimosa, bellinis for 2 hours. I had the pancakes and they were the best I've had in a super long time. Fluffy, crispy edges, buttery goodness. I want to marry those pancakes!
Oh yea, try the pancakes.
Had dinner here the other night and our party host was Dino — he was magnificent!!! Attentive, funny and even helped us take pictures and had the band play "Happy Birthday" to our birthday boy! When everyone at the table got their food but my son didnt, he made it his priority to make sure it was the next dish out! Dont see a lot of party host like that anymore.
The restaurant was very cozy with a backyard dining area (too bad we didnt get that spot due to a private party!), food was delicious and came in huge portions, live band that played salsa and it was jus a great atmosphere.
Would definitely come back to try more items!
I saw this place on my way and I decided to stoo there later with my friends. We arrived pretty early and we ask to have a table in the patio. It is a very cute romantic cheesy place. Good for summer. We had the bruschette. It was really good and fresh. Cocktails are ok. Not expensive as my french 75 and the negroni were less than $10 each. We did not order more. NiStaff is good/quick. Not amazing though. I don't live in this area but I m sure that my friends will come back for a cheesy date. See picture.
I guess after coming here a few times just for apps and drinks and now after enjoying a full dinner at Pane its time for the review. The place is nice enough and plenty big for parties of all sizes and gets pretty busy on Fri and sat nights. Some things we have tried are fried calamari, Caesar salad, the bruschettas, fettuccine bolognese and my wife had a filet mignon special one evening. I have to say everything has. always been very well prepared and delicious. On our last visit to the restaurant it took forever to get the check and i almost gave the place three stars because of it but on all other occasions the service has been fine so i will be generous. One note; On sat nights they have live salsa music??? I dont know why in an Italian restaurant but people seem to love it and if you sit in the back it wont bother you at all. Oh and one more note to the restaurant. I would love to see some legs in my fried calamari as they are my favorite part but the calamari was still very nice.
The vibe here is nice but the food is average.
They have live salsa on weekends and a well designed garden. But the food is hit and miss, and often not fresh. For example they start the meal with stale bread.
If you come then the mushroom risotto is not bad. Avoid the gnocchi.
I've been putting off writing this review for a long time, mostly because I feel bad about giving such a bad review, but it would be a lie to say I had a good experience here. Usually I don't care much about the experience if the food is good however, when you go somewhere for a bottomless brunch, let's be real, the experience is the main factor that's helping you to choose.
This place was mentioned to me from a friend who's been here for it a few times and raved about it. I wasn't going to go just based off that, but it's affordable and people seemed to have good things to say about here it here on yelp.
It was a large group, half got the bottomless brunch. From the very beginning, various people in my party noticed that the service was pretty clueless. They didn't know what was included in the bottomless brunch when someone asked, for example. They brought out the drinks for the people doing a bottomless brunch, but then would disappear and we'd have to get them for a refill.
Midway through the meal was fun, we were celebrating two birthdays so it was hard not to have a good time. I ordered linguine with clams, but most people ordered things off their brunch menu. The people who ordered from the brunch menu thought their food was okay. I definitely wouldn't return for an Italian dish of theirs, it wasn't good.
The real drama of the night came at the end of the meal, with the bill (and coincidentally when we relied on the service again). The first bill came and we noticed it wasn't ours-it was low to be ours and had things on it we never ordered. We mentioned this to the waiters, who brought back another check, which was much higher. As I was celebrating my birthday, I didn't care about how much, but I really didn't want to worry about figuring out the check, so I left it to my friends. I wish I hadn't because we're all pretty sure we were over charged and I know members of my parties tried to talk to the waiters about this, but they didn't seem to get anywhere. One of the waiters carried 3 of the same amount to me, told me they were voided, but insisted I had to sign them anyway. I watched that card for two weeks after that. That's the kind of thing that really ruined the night and I was visibly upset leaving.
My friend who had sworn by this place before, even without having seen that ridiculous ending, agreed he didn't know why the service was so bad that day. He has been really apologetic for recommending it, and I honestly can't ever see myself going back there.
A neighborhood favorite, and the only Italian place I know that has live salsa music. You'll see people of all ages dancing (a great singles spot for the 30+ !) Not the most incredible Italian food, but the ambiance is great and the waiters are wonderful.
