  1. Either walk in and grab a drink and a snack for on the go or sit down in the large seating area and watch the hustle and bustle of New York life pass by through the large glass windows which cover the entirety of the front and side of this establishment.

As per the name, lots of bread based sandwiches and lunch type eats can be found here. The menu is huge so you can pick what you want from that, or alternatively you can personalise your sandwich so it suits your tastes.
There is also a salad bar for those who are in need of some of their five a day.

N/b Only customers are allowed use of the restroom facilities. Entrance can only be obtained using a key which the service staff are happy to provide.

  2. Sad is all I can say about this place. It was either this or spend $20 at the hotel for breakfast. Settled on Panini & Co and had a chicken sandwich. This is a tourist trap for people that have no other choice but to eat here because it's convenient.

The sandwich came with a few chips. The size of it was on the smaller side and I was hungry not too long after. I scarfed down the sandwich in a quick few bites and it makes the Subway 6" sub look like a rockstar. That's how tiny it was.

This is what I get for not throughly researching places on Yelp before I go. Yeah make fun of me all you want but this is strike two. Next time I'm getting tarred and feathered.

  3. This place was not our 1st choice, but any place is better than Burger King in the Finacial district. The music is far too loud and really not our style at all. The staff was very slow, and they knew they were slow. There is ample seating and for the most part it's clean. The food was highly over priced for the quality $17 for 2 breakfast sandwiches and one coffee, really? As I said though we had time to burn and there was ample seating. That's as good as it gets.

  4. We were waiting at another place around the corner that was recommend by a cop on the street. After 30+ minutes waiting some construction guy try to get in also. They left and headed here so we followed. The place is nice inside with wood walls with tile accents. We ordered the bagel with cream cheese and lox. A true New Yorker staple and the wife's favourite in the city. I went with the simple ham, egg, an cheese on a roll. It was good nice warm and very tasty. The wife loved the lox. In all the construction guy did well. I should know I'm one of those construction guys too.

  5. This place was still open on an early Sunday evening when everything that wasn't a sit down restaurant was closed or about to close. I needed something quick. This cafe had various wraps and paninis (duh), salads, and burgers and other entrees. I went for a bacon cheeseburger because some of the wraps looked a little iffy at the time. My burger and fries order was ready in a flash! The guy who took my order included utensils and plenty of napkins. He must have figured i was a messy burger eater. I was because I devoured that thing in no time, which is more than I can say about the fries. They were just eh.

For early birds, they open at 6 AM for breakfast. The breakfast menu didn't look half bad but I didn't get a chance to try.

  6. My company's NY office is next door so I frequent this place when I'm in town for biz. Definitely not a destination spot but worth stopping in for breakfast or lunch if you're in the area.

They offer a diverse menu, featuring a ton of sandwich options and a decent salad bar. The rainbow cookies from the bakery are a personal favorite of mine. The bagels are also pretty good (however, I have yet to experience a bad NY bagel).

The service is fine for a NY deli – they are efficient but indifferent.

The narrow space between the salad bar and cashier area is très annoying.

  7. I seriously should have heeded the two star warning…. Place is ridiculous!

First off place has just about the weirdest set up I've seen for a restaurant. Second… Certainly not the cleanest I've seen. For what appeared to be a really slow afternoon for them the garbage can was overflowing, and the dirty dishes and trays hadn't been removed from the garbage area. The floors were nasty and so was the counters.

I however overlooked all that because the "showcase" of food they had looked amazing! They had those type of deli cooler counters with food they made then sprayed with plastic to preserve it (or whatever the process is) just for show.

You'll see in my picture… What they had in the display cases was not even close to what I got.

Now all I got was a roast beef panini. Which the way it read on the menu was basically a panini Reuben. I also ordered a side of fries because apparently here you eat just a sandwich…. And I got a bottled drink (non alcoholic)

Now I specified "non alcoholic" up there because for those three items I paid $19…

    I repeat $19

Not a lot you say??? Review my pictures and tell me if YOU would pay that amount for what I got!

    As for what I got…:
I got a panini that had literally 2 THIN slices of roast beef, A slice of cheese and the thinnest saddest excuse of a layer of Russian dressing you can imagine. The French fries where totally frozen.. And the bottled drink was great!! Never again. Ripped off my wallet and left feeling hungry and dirty

  8. We were hungry after sightseeing and so we just stopped in here because it was the first place we saw and it was a bad decision. The place is a market/restaurant/cafe? The menu is confusing, breakfast is listed in one section and then lunch is on the board, so it was weird.

We wanted pastries so we got some croissants and cannolis and it sucked. They were stale, not fresh and have been sitting out all day. The smoothie they made me was good but that was the extent of that. We spent nearly $45 on stale food, so frustrating.
