  1. Very convenient 24Hr cafe that's right off the Queensboro Plaza subway station.

We walked in a here many times to grab water bottles, Muscle Milk and other quick grab & go food necessities that we needed.

They have all sorts of breakfast/lunch items on their menu. The only items I actually got off the menu were:

    1. Jasmine Green Tea boba drink: It was aiiiight. The green tea flavor was quite strong and the tapioca balls weren't as chewy as I would have liked. But for a random chain cafe spot, they did a decent job.
    2. Breakfast Panini Tozt sammich: The SBBF liked it more than I did. It came on this huge piece of bread with sausage, eggs, American cheese and potatoes. I didn't think any of the ingredients were fresh and the cheese made it taste almost worst than any breakfast item I've gotten at a McDonald's.

Also, the staff here seems to move very slow…like slower than a turtle. No bueno.

BUT, still a pretty convenient spot with an ATM machine. And the desserts displayed each day did look very yummy.

  2. Aside from being a central hub for transit, this rough patch of LIC is marred for not having more available after dinner hours. It's Financial District dead in these parts, minus the occasional eccentric homeless guy and drunk Queensie who just came back from getting wasted in the city. Since everyone has to eat, where in the area can one score some late night food for cheap? The answer is here at Panini Tozt Cafe.

Of the several PT locations around Manhattan and Queens, half of the fleet are right here in LIC. All of them are barely a subway stop apart and strangely enough, are all 24 hours. These parts aren't exactly known for late night activity (hello Jackson Heights / Flushing!), but I digress.

The food is reasonably priced, average quality food that is meant to be delivered way more than it is to be eaten in house. There are only a few tables for two in the entire joint and the place is pretty small. With overhead menus and random items like packs of gum, magazines, bags of chips, and toilet paper, it screams of deli-dom. At best, it's really a takeout joint with some deli-centric items for those who need toiletries and a bite to eat. Take that drugstore / flower shop delis!

And with regards to the eats, they don't disappoint. The most expensive item on the entire menu is an Asian salad at $9. This means all of the sandwiches from paninis to burgers are going to be somewhere between $3-8, which is not too shabby for the penny pinchers out there. $5 wraps and $8 bowls of pasta are also on display, as well as a myriad of breakfast worthy items.

In addition to all of that, they make customized shakes / smoothies and have a solid amount of coffee options for the morning patrons. Surprisingly they also have desserts, one of which is cottage cheese. I don't make this stuff up.

Lastly, the service has always been on point. Guys are quick to take orders on the phone without being rude and the deliveries happen in good time. Beware of the Mexican options and tread carefully with the Philly cheesesteaks. You've been warned.

  3. Fairly new cafe with a deli that serves paninis, burgers, wraps, philly cheesesteaks and more! They have smoothies and pastries/desserts as well as the usual snacks like chips and cookies. The place is very clean and the staff is very friendly! It's one of the better places in the area … and I didn't even get to the best part of it yet.. IT'S OPEN 24/7!! They also do catering and free delivery over $12

  4. Convenient to the Comfort Inn down the block. We mostly purchased bottled water from the place, but also ate dinner their our first evening in Queens. Had the Cuban panini which was decent, if not a little dry. Fries were decent. Service is, well, stereotypical of NY, a bit harsher than we're used to on the Western-ish side of the country. 3 stars for convenience.

  5. Happened to stay next door at the Comfort Inn and this place was open late into the night. The bacon cheers burger and fries were excellent. Maybe next time I'll try the steak sandwich.

  6. This place was kind of funny. My expectations were already low, but $8 for a leaky chicken wrap – I'll pass. I did think it was funny that they called it the "Mexican" wrap, when it was clearly a Buffalo Chicken wrap. It wasn't the worst food I'd ever had. Remarkably unremarkable was a good way to put it. Also the workers looked like they had been trudging through molasses all day. Some guy almost ran out the door with my food. Overall, pretty underwhelming, but like I said, I wasn't expecting much anyway.
