  1. All of these papaya joints are phenomenal. No hate here. One of my go-to meals whenever I'm in New York are two dogs and a papaya juice.

  2. Unexpected good burger joint sitting in the terminal.  The burger deal is an excellent value and cooked to order as well.  I'd recommend seeking this place out if you have time and eat here.  The other offerings look great as well and I'd try again if waiting on a train here.

  3. 3.5 stars. This pretty famous doggy is super elusive. Yesterday was my third attempt to find papaya dogs in Penn Station, thanks to the tips by yelpers, I finally found its redish storefront on the way to LIRR waiting area.

$4.99 for a 16 oz papaya juice and 2 hotdoggies with chili? Yes, please. The standard dogs are the long skinny kind, the chili deliciously made out of beans and papaya juice fresh and to die for. I'm glad the meaty portion is smaller than usual and not as sodium buffed. I was able to eat two and still able to hike quite the distance on the streets of NYC.
    Another wish accomplished. Thanks!

  4. Pretty good hot dog. I had ketchup and mustard with chili and sour kraut. My boyfriend has the sausage with mustard and ketchup and onions (which they are in like a red sauce… Not impressive, regular opinions better, they don't have that though)
My hot dog was pretty good, chili was good tasting and they use dejion mustard, that was good.
I was expecting more, but it wasn't bad.

  5. quick fast cheap.  local to nyc.. the drinks in the should have a sugar coma warning.. cheap post drinking food

  6. Awesome place for a late snack. We came in around 2 and ordered 2 Philly cheese steak, who would have thought this place actually have good Phiily cheesesteak?

Oh their French fries was so crunchy, so crispy and mouth watering. Very happy.

  7. Always a must-stop for me while I'm drunkenly waiting for the LIRR. However stuporous my condition, the food always hits the spot. My favorite is the veggie burger with cheese and fries on the side.
I don't like how they creepily hit on you as they're preparing your food.

  8. Had higher hopes for this place due to Anthony Bourdain's mention of Gray's Papaya in NYC, but I suppose this shop with a similar concept was just not the real thing.

After roaming the streets a dog- not off a cart, sounded perfect. As said prior I came here expecting something similar to the great reviews of Gray's, a meal of two hotdogs and a Papaya drink for a cheap price. Also my brother wanted a knish, so we grabbed one too.

The hotdogs were of a small variety and slightly charred, good amount of sauerkraut and mustard. The knish was sitting on the flat top it looked like and was completely overdone on one side. Very tough and hardened, though the filling was decent. The Papaya drink was 1/3 foam and just sugary sweet with an artificial Papaya taste.

Skip this place and go to Gray's, this place is not worth the money for subpar food and drink … Perhaps if you were drunk and not aware, this might be the place for you.
