  1. It's true, there are too many juice and smoothie options, and the descriptions are sporadically plastered on the walls, which makes it incredibly difficult to make a decision, but also what makes this place endearing. Look to your left, nonfat berry smoothie! Straight ahead, 10-herb tea! To the right, green power juice, in 2 different sizes! Close your eyes, point in any direction, and you'll be very happy with whatever you pick. The fruit is fresh, and they wisely chose their combinations (no gimmicks, no gastronomic BS).

The people who work here are very nice and patient while you decide what to get.

Cash only, and don't forget to tip.

  2. How have I missed this spot after all these years?

After an insanely grueling 90 minutes of hot yoga with perhaps the most sadistic yoga instructor, I needed to refuel badly. I was lacking sodium and I could feel it. I felt so weak and ready to collapse.

So as I round the corner to Vernon Blvd, I see a side of a building, and it reads. "smoothie." Aha, a flicker goes on in my brain. All of sudden, all I could think of was a kale, ginger, spinach, cucumber juice that could revive my dead body (and soul).

I walk in to the space and no one is in the place.  It is quite late in the afternoon, not exactly lunch or dinner time yet, so obviously the place has no one.

I am greeted by a very handsome store owner, who was all smiles and very eager to help me. I was pretty confused, too many menu options and my brain was spinning. But then I saw a sign for a green juice ($6?) and just immediately ordered it. I didn't want to think anymore.

The store owner made my juice and we chatted about turmeric. He told me that the place was his father's and that before they sold donuts and cigarettes. And then I commented, "wow that is a change." And then he replied, "well the neighborhood has changed a lot." I thought to myself, I guess that's what gentrification does to areas…

Great spot to get something healthy and they make excellent juices here. So come on in, enjoy some green power, ogle a hot owner (who is also nice and all smiles) and I promise you'll leave glowing and in good spirits.

  3. The only juice place right near the dog park, so gave it more stars simply for that. But they are making fresh juices and have some various options listed around. It's a small space, but they are friendly and there is a small table and chair in the front if you want to sit. I have only tried their juices– They are kinda expensive, but I noticed that when people bought smoothies, they gave them the extra which is super cool.

  4. Totally fine little local bodega-style smoothie/juice joint. Nothing special, but the smoothies are pretty good. The interior is definitely not the nicest, but you're really just hear to grab a drink and keep walking so it doesn't bother me too much. I think the prices are reasonable, and as many of the other reviewers have mentioned, they'll give you a little extra in a side cup when there's a little extra smoothie in the blender, which I think is a really nice touch.

This is no trendy Manhattan juice bar, so don't come in expecting it. But it'll get the job done.

  5. This is my favorite breakfast sandwich and fresh juices spot. I don't go to work without stopping here first. Great prices and fast service.

Also their juices are the best around.
