  1. I have been here several times for car club events. Banquet food may not be the best way to judge a chef or kitchen, but every meal here was restaurant ala carte quality. I have had beef and chicken – both seasoned end cooked very well. Veggies were crisp, potatoes, perfectly cooked.

Deserts were just OK, the reason for 4 stars but I'm sure if I had a regular dinner meal, they would be very good. I say this because some events start early and they serve continental breakfast. Everything they serve is not just good, they are wonderful. So I'm guessing, desserts could be on par if the banquet budget was a bit richer.

    Recommended.

  2. Every time I've dined here, I've found the food to be solid, but not superb. Last week I came here with my family for their annual Lobsterfest.

    Some of the highlights were:
-Lobster cracked open: makes it easy.
    -Shrimp cocktail
-Penne with spicy vodka sauce – loved the kick in the sauce
-The clams in herbs and garlic
-The service, as always, was spot on.
-Ambiance. Dinner was served in the banquet room, under a large tent.

The eeeh, could be better, includes:
-Calamari: It needed to be crispier, have some kind of seasoning to it, or something else. It was too bland.
-Biscuits: These were a little on the hard side.
-Red Bliss Potatoes: They would be much better cut, which would enhance the flavor. It tasted just like a plain potato.
-Flank steak: Overcooked. It works for those that like a well done piece of steak.
-Dessert: I know this was all about the seafood, but at the cost of this dinner, I expected more in this category.

  3. I have only been to the Park Avenue Club twice – both for banquets – so I can only write a review based solely on their private events.

It's a very nice place, the staff is courteous, the food is delectable. It doesn't get a fifth star because, frankly it doesn't blow me out of the water. The food is good but not over-the-top great by any means. I was expecting great since this place is a "dining club" known for its food. But, I have not been for a sit down dinner service yet.

    Appetizers:
Passed hors d'oeuvres at cocktail hour included: coconut shrimp, thai chicken sugar cane stick, sliders, some type of fried roll(s), risotto and a few others.

    Dinner:
Duet entree included a white fish in a herb butter sauce and braised beef short rib. I really enjoyed the beef, the fish wasn't my favorite and it seemed like most of the people at my table barely touched their fish as well. Sides included string beans, carrots, and mashed potatoes which were all good.

Gorgeous venue for a nice night out.

  4. Overall a really nice place to spend the day. I came here for an all day work meeting and couldn't have asked for more. The staff was pleasant and helpful, the facility was clean and well kept, and the environment was welcoming and professional. The lunch buffet offered something for every taste- salad, soup, eggplant, chicken, fish, potatoes, and a variety of pastas and vegetables. Everything I tasted was cooked well (the tilapia was dry, but it is a buffet) and there was plenty to go around (even if you wanted thirds.) Desserts included a variety of cookies, cakes, and fruit. Our meeting room was fully stocked with coffee, teas, and soda. All amenities encouraged and provided a productive meeting.  The ultimate compliment- I would come here for leisure – invites welcome!

  5. *4.5 Stars*
So you have to be a member of this place to have dinner here. Luckily I was invited to a wedding here so I can forget about their membership fee and being "chosen".
The facilities are beautiful. Their staff is very friendly and organized. The bartenders do their best to keep up with the thirsty crowd.
Their food, very good…what really stood out: Beef Wellington bites…holy cow I could eat them like pop corn.
The tables were set up with real comfy chairs and you actually had elbow room (not like other events where everyone is shoulder to shoulder at the tables…).
It's not a huge place but the key is they have an outdoor area where you can have a drink, relax and take in some sun.
Even though it's private, ascots are optional.
Side topic: Valet company they use, be careful. I filed a complaint against them since they stole money out of my console. No fault of PAC and no influence in my review, just a heads up.

  6. Had an event here and also come here for dinner. It is a beautiful venue and has an open area in the back with a small pond and a lot of greenery. Really beautiful to take pictures. I have never had a bad meal and the service is over the top. It is pricy and you have to be a member, but there are a lot of reciprocal clubs (you can gain access to other clubs with a membership here)

  7. I came here as  a guest of a member.  We attended a wine enthusiast club event.   When entering the property you have the choice of either valet parking or self parking.

The event took place in the main dining room.  Jackets are a must for men.

The decor is dark wood.  It is beautiful and well kept inside.

I had a drink at the downstairs bar.  The bartender was awesome.  She was super friendly and made my drink perfectly.

The wine tasting included appetizers, soup, pappardelle, filet mignon and a dessert.  The people attending brought their own bottles of wine and each tale shared and compared the various bottles.

I thought the food was good but not great.  Everything was cooked perfectly but there was nothing that made it stand out.  The one complaint the entire table had was the soup was cold.  It was room temperature.

The staff was courteous, polite and did a great job of keeping the water glasses full and removing empty plates.  They were friendly and always had a smile.

I would have given 4 stars had it not been for the cold soup.

If you have the opportunity to go here, definitely go.   Great staff, good food and beautiful inside.
