  1. When I think of a mass food truck festival, I expect long lines and long waits.  I was delightful surprised when I was able to get my food at all the trucks within a reasonable amount of time.

First stop was Souvlaki GR.  I knew I had a lot of trucks to cover, so I started off easy.  An order of Feta Fries.  Simple but such a great idea.  The feta added unique creaminess and saltiness to the fries.

I have been dying to try a grilled cheese truck (it was between Milk Truck or Morris Grilled Cheese-I opted for the former).  I went for the good ol' Classic Grilled Cheese made with Aged Wisconsin Gruyere, Cultured Butter on Balthazar Levain Pullman Bread.  I did add bacon though.  It was just what I needed.

My sweet tooth was aching for a treat, so I hopped on over to Sweetery for one of my all-time favorite sweet treats-the Macarella.  It's a cross between a cookie and a macaroon (the Jewish kind, not the French kind) filled with Nutella.  It is one of my favorite cookies of all time.

Next I had a bite of the Chicken and Thai Basil Dumplings from Rickshaw. It was very flavorful and the basil added an unexpected kick.  I would definitely try out some more of their dumplings.

Even though I was super full at this point, I had to try the Whiz Steak from Phil's Steaks. It was good, but I can't say it's the best cheesesteak I've ever had.

What's a food truck outing without and ice cream sandwich from Coolhaus? I changed it up a bit this time and got the double chocolate chip cookie with strawberry ice cream.  Strawberry and chocolate? Definitely a great combo.
