*SUNDAY BRUNCH REVIEW*
I love this area for brunch on Sundays. Parnell's is one of the better ones to go to. They offer a large selection to choose from. Everyone in our party enjoyed their selection. Their mimosas were okay.
The interior design is nothing note worthy and the service is okay. We had to look for/flag down our waiter a few times.
Live music on Saturdays, good service and the food is so much that you end up taking it to go. I had the steak sandwich and it was well done and so tasty.
We randomly stumbled upon this place while walking around, looking for dinner late at night. I ordered a steak salad and the lettuce was old and browning – what a turn off! The tomatoes were fresh and the portion of skirt steak was rather large, but a bit too tough for my liking. I won't be coming back here.
Have gone to Parnell's recently, great improvement!
This is a really solid neighborhood restaurant. The prices are a little high but the food is quite good and the drinks are reasonably priced. I think I've been here once during happy hour and I remember the prices being surprisingly good for the area.
Staff is very nice and attentive. Brought an issue to their attention once and the manager was quick to offer us a free meal and when we said it was not a big deal, she didn't charge us for our drinks.
This is where the fancy old Irish folks come to eat, drink and be merry. Seriously, if you go to Ireland, this is what most of the pubs feel like. It has a sort of cozy feel that just makes you want to cuddle up to a pint of Guinness and down some Shepherd's pie. The drinks are strong and the atmosphere is very calm, so if you're looking for a rowdy dive, keep walking.
This review is based on just one seamless order. I'm a huge Mac and cheese fan so when I saw short rib Mac and cheese, I was sold. When the delivery man arrived, he called and said he has waited five minutes and rang the doorbell and no one answered, so I went outside to see what the problem was. Yeah, he was on the wrong street. You don't see that everyday.
The food itself was a little less than average. First off, it was cold. Maybe was the wait…from being on the wrong street. The short rib wasn't really cut up at all and was super chewy. The Mac and cheese itself was ok at best. Nothing special. The serving portion was the best part. I'm not planning on ordering from this place again.
