So I'm a little skeptical at the raving reviews this pizzeria has received given certain individuals profiles but that all to the side. I thought the pizza was pretty much comparable to most other pizzeria's in the area which is fine because we have descent pizza in the area. I also tried the Marlon Brando sub sandwich and thought that was pretty good, roughly $12 for a 12 inch sub which had mozz, roasted peppers, italian meats…etc.
Overall I will try it again and update my review, maybe next time I'll dine in.
Customer service : 5 stars
Pizza : 5 stars
I was around the area and stopped by here for lunch!
The guys that work here are a friendly bunch. They gave their opinions about the best seller pizzas and I'm glad I took their advice.
I had the drunken grandma slice. It was delicious! The slice was big and hearty. There was a lot of cheese on it!
I also had garlic knots. These garlic knots are the biggest I've ever seen and had. They were garlicky flavor and very filling.
I highly recommend if you're around the area. The guys are very friendly and family like and you won't be disappointed!
We probably won't be back here, at least for a long, long time. A wedding to the area brought us right across the street at the Holiday Inn. But I felt compelled to write a review because of how well we treated and the fact that the pizza was incredible.
Before we started our four hour journey home, we were both craving "NY style" pizza and didn't want to have to stop off in Manhattan for it. I called them up in advance to ask that very question about their style of pizza and the guy seemed to be thrown a bit by what I was requesting. To whomever answered your phone, this is about NY style as it gets. 🙂 I get how it would be tough to idealize something without stepping outside of your own area but there is NY, Cali and Chicago styles, and then there is every other crappy kind around the country in between.
Our order was ready in less than 10 minutes and as we arrived, we struck up a conversation with a nice gentleman about the area and his business. After we received our pie, we hit the road. The crust was perfectly chewy, the sauce a wonderful balance of sweet and savory and the cheese, not greasy at all like I saw others say (you do realize cheese has a high fat content, right?).
Anyway, our experience was very pleasant and I can't say enough good things about this hidden gem inside of a strip mall. Keep doing what you're doing guys, kudos for making some great NY pizza in the Jerz!
Best pizza in NJ, hands down. The best slice I've had in jersey served by a welcoming group of gentleman.
I ordered the balsamic chicken slice and it had probably more cheese then an entire pizza pie outside. If you love cheese, this is the place for your pizza needs. Also the slices are huge, so come hungry. I had two and it was the best stomach filling experience on a budget.
We got 3 slices total and garlic knots for $11, can't get better then that. I'll definitely be back, hopefully soon.
This place came highly recommended, and I see all these five star reviews. Granted, it's just a first impression, but I can't say this is Parsippany's absolute best. I'll give it a tie, but with two others right next door to me, I'm not going across town for this. The crust was perfectly thin and crispy, the cheese and sauce were just right. The mushroom half was great, the anchovy half was unfortunately light on toppings. That, and maybe my pizza standard is just overwhelmingly high, but I don't see enough here to give it a star over my local favorites, or to tie it with the best place or two around Jersey that I've had. I do leave the possibility open on a later visit. Maybe I'll go for the grandma pizza (or the drunken grandma) and it will swing my vote.
I really don't get why people are so excited about this place. I've been to it twice and tried their pizza slices and they were very average. Greasy with not the best or the freshest ingredients. Not sure if you order the whole pizza, it comes out better than the slices.
Every pizza with chicken that I tried had a strange taste. Not sure if the chicken was cooked before it was fully unfrozen or something else, but it didn't taste fresh.
The place itself is clean and the service is very friendly. You can also see that they are trying really hard to serve the customers.
