  1. Just a solid NY pizza for big slices, and garlic rolls.  If you're in the theatre district stop by, and grab a slice or three.

  2. After wandering around for a while to find a nicer dinner spot before our 8pm Les Mis show, my friend and I eventually gave up and came here. The shop itself is small and crowded. There's a tiny bar with seats but the line is pressed up behind you and its not a comfortable spot to sit at all. However there is a giant area where people sit on a pipe of some sorts across the street so we settled there.

From first look the pizza looked pretty average but something about it really was good. The crust is hefty but crisp. The sauce they use is seasoned very well. And while the toppings looked a bit iffy, they really were all tasty though the textures were a bit off (I got the mushroom and the sausage). The price is pretty reasonable for the giant size. I made the mistake of getting two since the crust was thin but like I said, they're hefty. The service was very nice as well. Overall, a damn good pizza place. I won't go out of my way for a slice but the location is right across from 2 of the best musicals in the world so if I am ever waiting in line for them, I would come in for a slice.

  3. Quick. Tasty. Efficient. I'd come back.  1 star gone for lack of stools or chairs, no bathroom and the heat in the restaurant.

  4. Awesome!  It's a must if you're looking for tasty pizza beyond the typical flavored.   We ordered the Margarita and a spinach and cheese. Both were amazing.

  5. You know, when I followed Yelp's advice for a slice of pizza before a Broadway show and saw this place from the outside, a part of me yelled "oh hell no!"

It was like a tourist mobscene. The line (that started inside, from the register back toward the soda refrigerator) snaked out the door. It completely killed any hope of getting a "seat" by the dining bar. The guys behind the counter all seemed pissed off and were rushing people through.

Then, I snapped out of it. I remembered where I was (off Times Square), when I was there (6:30 pm.. 30 minutes before a majority of the Broadway shows started), and why I was there (I wanted a good, fast slice of pizza). And that,s what we got.

The line raced through as expected. The guys were a little pissy (I would be too having to deal with 10 tourists a minute) but were still friendly and efficient. We ordered two slices, paid with a CC, and walked out to the window to wait for our slices.

They came out quickly and were gum destroyingly crisp yet hot. They tasted like the slices I had at Frankie's in Bensonhurst when I was growing up. I left happy.

  6. This place is okay. To be honest most of the pre-made NY pizza joints aren't that great. Usually, they just reheat it in the oven and reheated melted cheese is not the same. We ordered the pizza with tomato and basil which had seasoning on it. It was delicious in flavor but the toppings/cheese all stuck together so it slid off. It would probably be better if we get a fresh out-of-the-oven pizza.

  7. Came for a slice as it was right across from the Rodgers Theatre, home of the Broadway musical "Hamilton" and where we got dropped off. The place is small with a counter along the wall, which housed fours seats. It was extremely hot inside, given the over 90 degree temperature outside and the door was propped open so, no air. We placed our order, two slices of pepperoni and one slice of sausage. The wait was less than 10 minutes as we were served our slices. We decided to eat at the counter as opposed to while walking down the street ( an image of John Travolta cramming those slices in his mouth while bopping down the street from "Saturday Night Fever" pop into my mind for a second). I digress…
The slices were okay, nothing to write home about. They were hot and had a nice sauce, but the pepperoni was very salty. The sausage was a better choice with the sausage sliced long and horizontal as opposed to the traditional crumble and it was way less salty than the pepperoni.

It was cool to know it had been frequented by a lot of the Broadway entertainers, given the autographed posters and signed photographs that hung on the wall.

All in all it was okay, but hey, we were in NYC, it was close to where we were dropped off and it was dang near 100 degrees. So much for trying to scout the perfect pizza place during our visit….but you already know probably can get better pizza somewhere else anyways…

  8. Had to get a slice of pizza while in NYC so after some debating, since there are endless of places to choose from, hubby and I ended up here. I had the Tomato & Basil and he had the Lasagna Pizza. It was really good and it was a huge slice. It's a nice hole in the wall to get a decent, quick bite.
