  1. I like this place a lot but not sure it's a great fit for Sunnyside.

I'll start off with the bad: The prices.

They are just too high to make this more than a "once in a while" restaurant or take out visit, with 8 wings costing around $13, a side of fries or onion rings costing $10, beer floats and frozen drinks costing $10, and most entrees costing $15-20. On top of that, a side of blue cheese or ranch dressing for your wings costs an extra $1.

I get that Korean chicken spots are all expensive, but this isn't Manhattan, so I can't really forgive the high prices on all the non-chicken items.

The complimentary salad and pickled radish is a nice addition, but kind of a meaningless gesture with the costs so high.

Another thing I'm not a fan of is how the different types of spicy flavored wings come in only one heat level – level 3/3 ridiculously hot. As a spice fanatic, I can barely stand the heat, and the damage they will do to your gut the next two days makes them more pain than they are worth. I can't understand how they couldn't find a way to tone it down. The spicy wings are not enjoyable at all.

    The good:
Great drinks with lots of flavors to choose from, the chicken is cooked well and the sauces are pretty good, but its hard to taste the difference of the premium chicken.

The fries are crispy and delicious and taste great with the cheese flavoring.

Some tips I would recommend to people coming here:

    1. Ordering the whole chicken is a much better bang for the buck than getting two orders of the wings. Plus you can get two different sauces.

    2. The marinated wings have a orange/honey flavor to them

    3. The sweet and spicy wings have a sesame chicken/general tso flavor to them.

    4. The Soy Wings don't really taste like much – almost identical to plain

    5. The Cheese Ppurio flavor is a dry rub and tastes like a mix of white cheddar and parmesan.

    6. The snowing cheese flavor is a dry rub and tastes like sharp cheddar.

    7. The spicy flavor is a dry rub, and only comes in one heat level.

    8. The level 3 heat is extremely hot compared to any other chicken place you have ever been to. Even if you can handle the heat when you eat them, your stomach will get revenge later – I highly recommend staying away from the level 3 heat.

    9. The finger-gloves are great for keeping your fingers clean, but the food comes out BURNING hot, and they will not protect you at all.

Overall, I want to love the place, and I'd recommend trying it at least once, but with lots of take-out competition priced so much lower, its hard to justify coming back that often.

  2. friday dinner around 8pm wasn't packed but filled. 5 minute wait

Couldnt wait to try this place out since I love the flushing location, and my home turf is Sunnyside

First off this location seems to be a bit bigger than the flushing location & has a better table/t.v. Register setup.

We had ordered; Whole Crispy Chicken (marinated/ppurio) & Whole Boneless Chicken (snowing cheese & bbq) upon recommendation from our waitress.

I personally loved all 4 flavors, but I am a big fan of cheesy sauces/powder so I'd say the ppurio tops it all off. We also had ordered 3 cocktail sojus (lemon, mango, strawberry)

The lemon soju tasted almost like regular lemonade with crushed ice and almost no essence of alcohol. The strawberry was probably the worst of all 3 as it came nearly melted and resembled basic strawberry juice, however the mango which was the manager's recommendation seemed to have been worthwhile.  Each soju costing 10$ each, we had regrets but wanted to try the hype so no complaints.

The staff seems to be overly helpful and compensating to receive good feedback.

Overall come with a group and your bill won't be outrageous. Definitely will come back often hehe.
