I don't ordinarily review liquor stores since they're all somewhat similar to me, but I like this little gem right inside Penn Station for the fact that it's extensive and organized despite its location.

I had a hard time finding it at first, but it can be best described as located right next to Track 17. I work around Penn Station and the neighborhood is sadly bereft of decent purveyors of liquors and spirits, unless you're looking for Golden Anniversary and MD 20/20. When I saw Tom D's review letting us all know that they have Hudson Whiskeys, I made a bee line right there since I've been looking for those forever (and those deserve a review all their own, but are great and completely worthwhile). It looks like the shop has a wide and decently priced selection otherwise, so this will certainly be my go-to spot for liquors and spirits from now on.

    Highly recommended!

I hate businesses at Penn Station, I just do!  They are impossible to find especially if you are unfamiliar with the station.  I don't like walking aimlessly looking for stores at this location but I finally found this hole in the wall, literally.

Located between track 16 & 17 near the A, C, E train entrance this small shops sits almost unnoticed.  Store is really small, almost cramped but the employees are standing ready to assist the minute you walk in so that's a huge plus.  Other than it's size which is small I can't really knock the place but I would call ahead to make sure they have what you want because it is a small store.

Very nice people and they have some unusual selections.  I was looking for a decent cassis the last few days – most places stock only the cheap stuff.  Penn had 375 ml bottles of Lejay which was what I needed.  If I shopped around, I could have saved a few bucks but I expect to pay something extra for convenience.

2.5 stars, if I could.   Somehow "A-OK" doesn't seem to apply.

Quite a decent wine and whiskey selection for a store of its size, but the prices are higher than I usually see.  (The bottle I bought, at $26.99, is $2 cheaper at Astor Wines, as a comparison.  "The Prisoner" from Napa was significantly higher here than elsewhere.)  Of course, you're paying for the convenience and the location.  Heading to the train to your parents' place and forgot a bottle for their anniversary?  Phew!

I can't believe I never knew this place existed. They are a very typical NYC liquor store but to be placed in the LIRR area (right in between track 16 and 17) is golden for anyone who wants to grab a bottle of wine on their commute. Wine prices were typical for any NYC liquor store. They have a selection of reasonably priced wine bottles ($8.99-13.00) and of course a lot of super expensive wine.

How have I never seen or heard of this place?? Of all the years I've been commuting through the disaster known as Penn Station, I never knew this gem of a liquor store existed.

You would expect a liquor store in Penn Station to be disgusting and lack any kind of selection… Complete opposite… Not only is it convenient, but it's clean and they have an excellent variety to choose from. I walked out of here with 2 bottles of aged rum that can be hard to find.

The employees turn over patrons at a rapid pace and they also offer to help you find what you're looking for. This place is an absolute godsend for commuters who need to pick up a bottle on the go.
