Good food. Good prices. Good service. Would recommend giving this place a shot if you haven't already.
When this place first opened it was wonderful. The restaurant was charming and cozy, it was not meant to be a fine dining establishment.
Over time there has been more wear and tear. They stopped taking care of it with the loving care the original owner had.
The food is good, not amazing. I have ordered the penne vodka, shrimp with spaghetti and chicken parms for delivery/ pickup.
Sometimes they have really long delivery waits and so I go for pick up instead.
If this rating were based only on service and food I would give it 4 stars but because of the delivery service I have to dock a star, and considered docking two stars.
The delivery guys who work for Peppinos are a danger on the road. I have called twice, and to no avail. The drivers don't stop at the stop sign on 77th and Ridge. It is a four way stop sign and they consistently blow right through it at excessive speeds. I have seen them almost hit pedestrians on more than one occasion. It is a danger to the neighborhood.
I boycotted them for a while because of this, but a week ago while visiting my parents my mother wanted to order from there so I picked it up. I don't want someone being run over delivering my chicken parm. For the 5 seconds it takes for them to stop at the stop sign, they could save a life potentially.
Get a handle on your reckless drivers, they are a representation of your business.
Italian-American food is bountiful in Bay Ridge, but the friendly and personal service at Peppino's adds to that Italian comfort. My husband has an obnoxious amount of food allergies, and not only did the manager come out to ask about them, but he made sure that there was plenty of options for him to eat. Unfortunately they do not have gluten-free pizza, but like most places, they offer GF pasta, and many entrees can be made GF. The manager even ensure us that he would boil the pasta separately.
The escarole and beans was very nice, almost in a broth, and the pignoli nuts were a nice touch. The lentil soup is similar to a minestrone- more broth and not as thick. I didn't try the pizza, but I'll be back with my GF other half.

The meatball parm is one of the best things I've ever tasted!! But that's only if it's on their homemade bread. There have been two occasions where they sent it to me on Italian bread to my disappointment. I mentioned that today and they gave me today's hero for free. This place has always been very accommodating and excels in customer service. The only thing that's better is the food.
Overpriced and still hungry after eating 4 slices!!!! That's just nuts coming from an 130 pd girl. Geesh. Still being hungry after having 4 slices can't be a good thing.

Best pizza in Bay Ridge, though not in the territory of the real heavyweights in the city. The ingredients used are solid but the crust isn't there. The pizzas are pricey, while the better value is in the sandwiches and pastas, which are mostly good. Nice as a neighborhood delivery spot.
