  1. The Preztel crossiant was for the win!

The salty toasty outer crust melded with buttery crossiant flakes? Yes please!

The other crossiants or why this place is named petite shell taste more like rugelach. The sheer variety of flavors are fun. Personally I enjoyed the japaleno and the Nutella flavors. There are strong Nutella layers in this little shell.

I can't speak for the drinks or the other foods but if you're a crossiant fan you'll definitely like this place. The pour over brews are calling me there now.

  2. Adorable cafe (definitely Instagram worthy!), decent prices and good selection of coffee/tea/pastries. I tried the Nutella cold brew – it was delicious!

When I was there there were several people on the laptops working. There were outlets and wifi. Overall though there isn't a ton of seating, definitely not good for big groups.

Service was efficient but not very friendly.

  3. This review is only for the iced nutella latte (and the smells & appearance of the delicious food!)

The nutella latte was delicious, a bit heavy & sweet but a perfect occasional treat! The space was bright & airy with a good selection of small croissants. The combos all sounded delicious, the place smelled heavenly, and there was a really good option of hot & cold drinks. I came specifically for the nutelle latte but will return to try the pastries.

  4. This place has delicious food. I got the goat cheese, avocado, beet horseradish, and tomato sandwich on a plain croissant and it was the best combo. The cold brew is bold and flavorful and their mini chocolate croissant wasn't too sweet. I will definitely be back when I'm in the area and order the exact same thing.

  5. Tried this cute cafe out thanks to my CUPs app [QAVZB for $10 off your plan!], which they very much accept and honor. Their nuttella latte probably differentiates them from other cafes in the area which I have yet to try! I stuck to my typical soy latte that did not disappoint. I also had a bite of a nuttella croissant which was absolutely amazing. It was not too buttery, yet flaky and light. If you're contemplating on skimping out a dollar for the smaller one, don't do it. That tiny little croissant will do nothing for your desire for more after you get a taste of it.

Seating here is pretty limited, but it's bright and it smells like grandma's baking so it's a nice place to come and sit down to.

  6. Want some smaller size croissant? You have come to the right place!

Petite shell serves a selection of mini-croissant with different flavors – cinnamon, raspberry cheese, feta, you name it! My friend had once strongly recommended the Nutella one so I decided to give a try.  Definitely a well-balanced combination of Nutella sauce and bread, such that it was not at all overwhelmingly sweet. Better pair it up with the iced green tea!

They also serve Nutella coffee and even some small savory salad. Perfect for a quick bite!

  7. Stopped in here for an afternoon pick me-up and snack after the MET. I wish there was more seating areas here, but the pastries and coffee were great.

I ordered a Nutella latte and pretzel croissant and my husband ordered a Nutella cold brew. The Nutella latte was a cup of chocolatey goodness! It wasn't as sweet as I anticipated, which is good. It was similar to a mocha plus hot chocolate. The Nutella cold brew surprisingly tasted different than the hot version, but still very good! Definitely recommend.

The pretzel croissant was average. It was soft inside and flaky on the outside and fulfilled my craving. I have a pretty high caliber for croissants, so it wasn't the best I've had, but def satisfactory! Couldn't really taste the "pretzel" in the pretzel croissant.

    Recommend checking this place out!

  8. Recently, a Yelp newsletter said Petite Shell has one of the best cold brews in the City – so I decided to check it out while I was (unusually) on the UES.  Overall, it was a good cup of cold brew – but nothing I'd cross the Park for.  Their croissants, on the other hand, looked amazing.  I had just eaten brunch so was too stuffed to taste any croissants, but I will definitely come back to give those a try :).
