Although Phil-AM is a Filipino store chain that sells every Filipino food you can think of, frozen and already made, I specifically came here just for the Halo Halo. Unlike most Filipino restaurants and bakeries that sell Halo Halo, Phil-AM actually places a cup with the ingredients already inside in the drinks section. All I had to do was grab the cup, hand it to the people at the back counter and they knew exactly what to do. They basically added the ice and milk to it and any other ingredients missing. After scooping and slurping my Halo Halo until it was empty, my impressions of it were that it was just "OK". It was lacking in a few ingredients, including the infamous ube! Also, there were alot of sugary icy flakes in there that I wasn't used to either. At $3.95, it's slightly cheaper than the ones sold at Red Ribbon and Jollibee, but unfortunately not as good.
