Tres excited to find out there's a Viet place in my neighborhood. With the colder months coming, there's always a craving for pho. However, I stopped by yesterday and end up getting the Viet sandwich (Banh Mi) instead. For $6.00, I can't complain. The grilled pork was delicious but the other garnishes were a little disappointing. I remember back in the days, they would overstuff the sandwiches with cucumbers, cilantro, and shredded carrots. But this time, it was literally one piece of cucumber and one withering leaf cilantro. The sandwich looked kind of sad, quite frankly. The baguette also wasn't that toasty either. I would probably come back and try their pho next time. Hopefully it would be better.
one of the few places that has a grilled pork summer roll, so i give them major props for this. viet noodles are good, beef cubes on rice is good. this is my go to place in brooklyn for viet.
This is a nice spot to go to after shopping in the Bay Ridge area. The décor and menu is similar to other Vietnamese restaurants that I've been to. For some reason I order the pho (Vietnamese noodle soup) more than the rice dishes, which is good also. I don't think you can go wrong with anything one the menu. So far, I haven't had something I didn't like. I usually get the Pho Suon Nuong combination rice noodles beef soup with grilled pork chop or Xe Lua combination extra big bowl rice noodles beef soup six difference brisket, navel, frank, omosa tendon & eye of round, both cost around ($7). The pho is served with bean sprouts, basil, and lemon. I add everything into my pho. For the meats I usually dip it into hot sauce and hoisin sauce, which adds lots of flavor.
I didn't think that the sandwiches measured up in quality to all other places i have been. I would not get again.
Food was really good today, it's quiet qith a lot of people out of town. My wife had the grilled shrimp with rice noodles, she didn't eat the rice noodles but she just doesn't like eating a lot of rice noodles
My SIL had the seafood noodle soup. Good as usual. We also had a serving of cha giao, very good and not too greasy.
The tofu with lemingrass was exploding with flavor, we scooped up every last drop of sauce.
For those who llike vegetables, try the vegetable dishes. We had yu chai with ginger sauce and it was delicious.
Even the rice was good today. Great job Hoai!
My experience here was a lot worse this time.
We ordered some Summer Rolls. When you smell it…it smells like stinky feet. Am I eating stinky tofu??
The hot and sour fish soup wasn't hot at all. Just warm. It did have a nice sweet sour taste to it. I wasn't expecting salmon in the soup. I don't think it fits well in a soup. In this soup there was a long strain of hair in it..smh!!
My girlfriend #5 pho wasn't hot at all. Almost room temperature. We saw other pho dishes and they look like it was piping hot because you can see the steam.
My spring roll noodles was quite flavorful. I like the crunchy aspect of the spring rolls with the soft chewy noodles. It wasn't bad. About the only good thing we had here.
This place was quite the regular for me back in the day, but not so much anymore. Lost a customer with your horibble way of prepping food.
Good ol Vietnamese food I use to frequent back in the days. Still haven't lost its touch.
Pho with beef balls are good but it's the Bo Luc Lac that I remember most. Flavorful and tender beef with really great fried rice. The beef was slightly undercooked but a little on the rare side won't really kill you.
Place continues to bang out some good Viet food.
This is like any other Pho spot I've been to. Great food, good service.
BF pho bowl with beef. This is the only place he'll eat it. I had the pork chop over rice with shredded beef. I should have just gotten the porkchops over rice. You get more for your money.
I also got the cold tea with lemonade. Its okay. I did finish it.
I don't come to the area much, but i would recommend the place. They're fast, the place is clean, and the prices are very reasonable.
