Pho32 Shabu is a great place to obtain not only shabu shabu but a delicious steaming bowl of the outrageously delicious pho. It's the perfect place to visit when you are under the weather and needing a promising pick me up. Any time I feel a sore throat coming on and am in dire need to instant revivement, a hot bowl of this stock along with it's absorbing rice noodles and sprouts, mint, lime, with a hint of sriracha does the trick.
I found this place on Yelp and it seemed pretty delicious, so upon visiting I have decided that this lives up to the hype and I'm excited about discovering new places around here as well.
Decent pho — it does the job when you need it, but it's not great. The vietnamese wrap is good though with good portions.
I don't understand why the floor is always so slippery though. It's so bad that they have random floor mats just laid out so that people don't slip and hurt themselves while going to the bathroom.
I go here randomly with coworkers/friends on any gloomy-ish day. Cloudy, snowy, rainy, etc. means it's time Fo some Pho. It's Vietnamese food with a Korean twist… kind of. You get a plate of kimchi with your order… that's about it.
I usually get the PH4 which comes with various meats in a big bowl of soup and noodles. Medium for 8 bucks and large for 9. Easy choice there if you're hungry and have a dollar to spare. They have all different kinds of add-ons to the soup other than meat. They also have vermicelli, which is basically like pho but without soup. Their entree dishes are pretty good too, with meats and side of rice and such. I've gotten it once and wasn't completely impressed by it.
I was a little disappointed today because they do have a special where you get a Vietnamese sandwich and a little bowl of pho for a few more dollars. They told me they don't have bread to make the sandwich….. BOOOOOOOOOO! I've wanted to try this combo for so longggg and when I finally decide to do it, this happens. BREAD?!
Other than the bread mishap, it's a nice way to warm up on those cold winter days.
Never disappoints and always hits the spot. A bit fan of their pho AND vermicelli. The only bad thing I can think of is that the food makes your clothes smell.
I'm going to give this chain the benefit of the doubt and say that today was an off day for the kitchen. Maybe my tastes have changed but I remember it being better in the past.
We ordered the seafood pho and pad Thai w/ chicken and it was okayyy. The pho was a little too oily for some reason and the seafood was tiny! Like, I probably could've fit all the seafood bits on my spoon if I tried. So, stick with beef or chicken for the pho. As for the pad Thai, it was a little different from what I expected and not quite as nutty but I guess it was okay. I liked how they served kimchi as a side dish (you can definitely tell this place is owned by Korean, which makes me wonder is that why it doesn't feel as authentic?). Servers were pretty friendly and you can order in Korean if you'd like.
I have had pho a few times; so far this may have been the best. I had the #6 with beef. Beef was tender, broth was tasty and very hot. Just a little stingy in terms of the garnishes. I would order it again.I tried the summer rolls to start, I have had better.
Casual decor, Asian music in the background. No wi-fi which is a bummer.
Pho 32 is a good quick and cheap place if you are craving Pho.
Yes, it's a chain. Yes, it's the same as the Pho32 in Flushing or in Ktown. I still think it's pretty good for a Korean-style Vietnamese place. They have cold noodles too! I like their fried dumplings and the platter that you can wrap summer rolls yourself.
