  1. On the search for an authentic New York bagel experience and a local told us to stop here. Came in around 9:30 on a Saturday for breakfast. There was a line out the door! Looking at the menu they had soooo many options, over 10 flavors of cream cheese, every kind of bagel imaginable, sandwiches, lox, chopped salad, breakfast, muffins and more! I ordered a ham, egg and cheese on an egg bagel. As well as a  banana muffin to share. They were both on point and delicious! The staff was attentive, quick and moved through the line in a jiffy! Checking out was confusing because they have a separate person cashing you out and the one who I ordered with didn't articulate what was ordered. But the cashier wrung us out for what I said we had without any issue. Great stop

  2. If you like your bagel stale then this is your spot.
The coffee wasnt much better in fact the latte should probably best described as warm milk.

So sad that all these tourists in this part of town come to here expecting  to have the best bagel  ever only to be served one of these.

Go to Murray or Brooklyn bagels don't make this mistake.

  3. I came here and ordered a pumpernickel bagel with plain cream cheese. It was good, but I wasn't 'wow'ed by it. Their ordering system is a bit confusing when you're there for the first time, and who knew you could pay nearly $4 for a bagel with cream cheese in the city–a bit pricey if you ask me.

  4. I'm not a bagel connoisseur, but I know what tastes good. I wanted a bagel in NYC while on vacation, because, you know…you have to have a good bagel in New York. I saw good reviews on this place from a blogger and I was wasn't disappointed. I had my favorite, bagel with lox. I took it to go since seating is limited and this place is PACKED. They are generous with the cream cheese and the bagels are soft and fresh. The assortment of cream cheese they have (in buckets and looks like ice cream) is a sight to behold. Really, I couldn't ask for more. It was a damn good bagel.

  5. Ordered takeout from here. The food is good. The portions are huge, may be worth a call to check and verify what is included with meals, because sides are included. We ordered an extra side of hash browns and for your money you do receive quite a bit of food, easily enough to share with someone else. Overall good bagels, nothing special. The breakfast meals are probably the best deal.

  6. Meh!
I really wanted to like this place because it was my first official New York bagel experience, but I was extremely underwhelmed. First off, while the bagels were fine it was just that-fine. I went with a sweet bagel the cinnamon raisin, and my friend did an everything bagel. He said his was good, but then again he's a regular. So perhaps maybe I should've leaned towards savory with this place?

I don't know but I'm mad he didn't give me a heads up! I also went for another sweet option, and got Strawberry Cream cheese with the bagel. I'm sorry, the cream cheese looked great in the display;  mounds piled up high with creamy cold savory goodness. But honey, it was NOT the business. It tasted like air. I couldn't get any strawberry notes from the cream cheese, and I was lowkey mad I wasted my calories. I honestly would've been better off being basic getting a bagel with butter. Waste. Of. Money.

  7. I have a few issues with Pick A Bagel. It's disorganized and the line wraps around those trying to eat. Not sure how they can fix that but it's a problem. The two girls at check out were nice, but there were two of them and occasionally both would ring orders but usually it was just one. Not sure if it was a training situation or what but it wasn't helping the line. I was going to get an egg bagel sandwich. I was disappointed that there were no fried eggs (the only way to have an egg sandwich, really) but I was resigned to the scrambled egg that was offered and ready to try until I saw the cook break the eggs and drop the shells into the same bowl and then, later flip the shells out. I don't know if that's not sanitary but it freaked me out. So, I decided on an egg salad instead and it was really really salty. Not sure if it was the egg salad or if they added extra salt. I ended up throwing the sandwich away. Maybe it was an "off" day but, either way, I won't be back.

  8. Great selection of classic NY bagels, sandwiches, fresh salads, and breakfast items. They offer many different flavors of cream cheese. This locaion is really busy but the staff knows how to hurry up the line!

Not a lot of seating inside the restaurant but they also offer patio seating.
