  1. LAAAAVVV IT! favorite place in Hoboken. I wanna go back already! Tons of food trucks to grab a bite before going to the pier & bar. We got the 90 second wood fired pizza from the Pizza Vita truck. $10 for the Margherita Pizza. Big enough for 2 people, easy. Very thin and crunchy crust.

Check out the dog park. There was a beautiful Great Dane Dalmatian that I couldn't help but pet!!! The crowd by the food trucks/ dog park on the pier vary from young 20-30 somethings all the way to full families. People bring their babies and dogs here and go for walks. I don't blame um' because the view of the NYC skyline is EVERYTHING!

They ID ya to get into the bar/ lawn area. We got a pitcher of red sangria for $35ish. So worth it. They give you a cup of fresh fruit along with your sangria. The pier was pretty packed on a Friday night but we were able to snag a few seats. VIEWSSS of the city are amazing. Crowd & vibes are chill. Highly recommend.

  2. It's really nice to come here if the weather is on your side. It's a pier so yes expect to be outdoors. So dress accordingly even though there is no strict dress code. When you enter the slip there is a small line of food trucks. Not always the same ones but you will find something of interest to try. Most of the trucks take credit cards now but I always advise that it's better to take cash. If you want to head to the back section where the liquor is sold you wait in line, get ID and then a wristband. You can leave and enter with this for the day. In the bar areas most beers are on tap or canned, liquor you can get champagne, wine, cocktails, specialty drinks etc. Prices range from about $8 and up. You can get them in these cute pier 13 beach ball bottles too. But using a card, there is a minimum you need to spend. You can get a bucket as well. Think bottle service in a club lol they literally give you bottles of juices or sangria (not sure what exactly) to share that costs about $100. Seating can be difficult to find though but you do get a great view, and there are a few assorted board games.

  3. Came here last weekend for a friend's birthday and it was great. It was an absolutely perfect summer day, so I expected them to be mobbed to the point of discomfort, but it wasn't like that. They were definitely crowded but they have ample seating and the bar/bathroom lines move very quickly. They had 4-5 food trucks parked out front such as lobster rolls, po'boys, frozen bananas, and empanadas. The drinks are on the pricier side, but it's Hoboken… think $9 for a draft beer, $10-11 for a cocktail. Also, they are cash only on weekends only (kinda sketchy) and have an ATM there with a $5 surcharge.
We arrived around 2 and left around 6, which is probably when it's at peak crowdedness. Obviously the view is amazing. Come early if you want to grab chairs or bring a blanket to sit on just in case. Sunscreen is a must, there is noooo shade on the lawn, unless you're going to sit on the picnic benches under an umbrella.
    Looking forward to coming back.

  4. I dig it. I like that there was no cover, which I was expecting to have to pay. I like that there's three different spots to get booze, only two of which were open when I was there. And I'm a fan of the five or so food trucks lined up out front. Unlike Surf City in Jersey City, you're not forced to have to buy frozen, bland, overpriced food. The food trucks give you both a variety and much better quality at a comparable or lower cost. You also get better views of the city here, not to knock the distant view of Lady Liberty at Surf City.

Only three things left me annoyed:

    1) The restroom attendant. Seriously? Look where you are. And if you're going to hire one, at least make him wear a tie. I couldn't tell if he was an employee or some bum off the street looking to make a few extra bucks.

    2) The insistence on the bouncer closest to the end of the pier that people not stand within 10 feet of the railing. This must be because people walking the 100+ yards from the entrance to the end of the pier stand a lesser chance of going overboard than they do toward the end of the pier, where the railing maintains the same height all around the dock. Duh.

    3) The prices. $7 for a 12 oz. can of beer and $9 for a 16 oz. draft. Mixed drinks are a week's salary. These people must be as high as the prices, but as a season business, I get why they are.

Parking is impossible, as to be expected, but that's Hoboken for you. If you're coming from the City, you're better off swimming across the Hudson, or taking the ferry.

  5. Pier 13 is arguable one of my favorite places in Hoboken. I love the vibe and views here – on a nice day of course. It's such a cool and laid back place. It's kids and dog friendly only up to a certain area. There's benches and lounge chairs. You can bring your own blanket which I do recommend. I've brought cards and games to play here with friends. The only cons I do have is that it can get super packed and it's a cash only place. Aahhhhh who carries cash anymore and who wants to run to the bank every so often. Anyway, there's quite a few eclectic food trucks literally a step outside of pier 13 for snacking. You're able to bring the food inside pier 13 which is a plus. Definitely try the taco truck and the pizza truck. So good!

  6. I love this place.   I've been to Pier 13 twice now, and can't wait to go back. The view is amazing and there's a great atmosphere/vibe.  It's about a 10/15 minute walk from the PATH, so it's easily accessible from Manhattan.

There's a range of people here, mostly 20/30-somethings – some with their kids, some with dogs (you can bring your dog on the pier and there's a small fenced in area for dogs in the front), and lots of people just hanging out with friends.  It also seems like a great date spot.

They offer a variety of drinks at the bar – lots of beer options, rum punches, and even some champagne cocktails.  My favorite is the red sangria.  It's delicious, although it's quite strong!  You can order some of the cocktails or the sangria in pitchers, as well.  Prices are about what you'd expect (beers are $7-$9, sangria is $11).  After Labor Day all drinks are half-off, so I'd definitely recommend checking this place out in September!

If you're hungry, you can grab food from one of the many food trucks by the pier.  I hope to try a few of them next time.

I'd recommend that everyone check this place out – it's the perfect outdoor spot on a sunny day!

  7. This place is amazing, the atmosphere and vibe is super dope, and the views are pretty amazing too. The beer selection is decent.

Always super packed so get there early. One of my fave places to go in the summer.

  8. On those days when you need the view to match your plate, Pier 13 is def a great option. This venue brings the beach vibes to a location you would never think to find such vibes (if that makes sense).

Great view of the city, great food truck options to satisfy your growling stomach, and a bar that will bend your pockets but not break them. There are a bunch of benches and tables for you to post ip at, but don't think you're the only one that knows about this place because they do get filled quickly.

The bar is great and convenient, but don't bother with the mixed drinks they have unless you're looking for juice and ice. Beer is a fine suitor here and will benefit your pockets a lot more.

Bring the family and the dog over to the pier as soon as possible and get ready to enjoy the view!
