Since I was craving Italian, American, and Seafood tonight, my aunt and uncle took us to Piero's for an authentic Italian cuisine. From the outside, the restaurant looks like a villa in Italy. The restaurant is two story with separate dining rooms surrounding the bar and private party space on the second floor. The bar area is rectangular and is purple tinted. Each table had a brown table cloth topped with white table cloth, silverware, glassware, and dark brown napkin. On Friday nights, they have a live band playing instrumental music.
Our server was very friendly. The meal was in a timely manner. After placing our order, our server brought out a plate of complimentary Bruschetta and Sesame Sprinkled Baguettes. The Bruschetta consisted of toasted crostino topped with bruschetta (diced tomato, diced red onion, chopped herbs tossed in seasoned olive oil) in a light balsamic vinaigrette. The Baguettes were served in white napkin in a basket to keep warm.
Since entrees no longer come with salads, we shared two salads – Poached Pear Salad and Red & Golden Beet Salad. The Poached Pear Salad consisted of mixed greens, macadamia nuts,
blue cheese, and sliced red wine poached pear. The Red and Golden Beet Salad consisted of mixed greens, walnuts, goat cheese crostini, and sliced red and golden beets tossed in creamy balsamic vinaigrette. Honestly, I was too impressed with their salads. For entrees, we ordered Linguine Malademmina, Chicken Marsala, Veal Marsala, and Chicken Francese. The Linguine Malademmina consisted of linguine topped with chopped Brazilian lobster tail, shrimp, clams, shiitake mushrooms, and tomatoes in white wine tomato-based sauce. The Chicken Marsala consisted on two large, tender chicken breasts, topped with sliced mushroom, and served over spaghetti in a Marsala wine sauce. The Chicken Francese consisted of two large, tender, egg battered chicken breasts, topped with grated parsley, and served over spaghetti in a light lemon butter white wine sauce. All of the dishes were quite flavorful and filling. Sadly, we didn't have room for desserts.
