  1. Very good burger (I suggest you add the "fried" onions) and incredible wings. I'm not a huge wing lover, but I would happily eat these on a weekly basis were I a local. It's a no frills spot and our server was very good.

  2. Piper's Kilt is a great place for burgers and beers.  They have some of the most delicious cheeseburgers I have ever stuffed in my face.  It is juicy, grilled perfectly…what else can I say?  Just a good ol' American cheeseburger.  Expect a wait for a table on the weekends, but they have a bar and the atmosphere is great.  Just don't get the Bloody Mary.

Really, not a whole lot to say other than great burgers and atmosphere.  Come check this place out.  You won't be disappointed.

  3. Piper's Kilt is pretty good.

The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is cozy, great for a super cold wintery day, maybe with some snow happening outside? I've been in the past a few times here and there for a burger, which was pretty good. The last two times I went though, I felt a bit differently.

We went this past winter. We walked up here in the snow from our house in an attempt to both try something new and take care of a little cabin fever. The staff was nice and welcoming, and we enjoyed the spacious booth for our heavy coats and other winter gear.

We decided on some comfort food and ordered the mac & cheese, mozzarella sticks and buffalo chicken fingers to start. The mac and cheese was so good! I was psyched about it. The mozzarella sticks were also good! The chicken was only okay, but I'm not the world's largest buffalo fan. I mean, how good can bar food really be, right? This seemed more than decent.

As an entree, I tried out the Fried Shrimp Basket. I lovelovelove shrimp and anything friend is delicious and if you try and tell me otherwise, we are no longer friends.

This was pretty good. Not amazing, but I was just happy to be sitting somewhere toasty with comfort food and a beer. So the experience was good.

We went back in the middle of summer because burgers. We ordered the mozzarella sticks again and the buffalo chicken fingers (because it's my husband's favorite). I asked for the mac & cheese as my entree. The waiter told me it might not be enough food. Appetizers were…meh. The chicken was once again not a favorite. A bit spicy for my liking and the chicken was a bit dry. The mozzarella was fine. The mac & cheese was, well, bad. First of all, the serving size was huge. I can eat a lot in one sitting, but I don't even think I took down half of this. I had a few bites and was instantly sad because it wasn't the gooey delicious dish I remember. This one had almost a plastic quality to it, rubberized from the start. Almost no flavor and the cheese was congealed before it even hit the table.

I was bummed, but relatively full so I didn't complain. And the staff was so nice and pretty attentive, so that's always a plus. I just think they can do better. Yes, I understand it's pub food, but haven't you ever had really good pub food? It leaves you wanting more, not less.

I will say, the fries are the kind with the crispy coating…which I LOVE. So the fries are totally winning!

I'll probably go back because my husband loves it, it's within walking distance of my house and on a really cold, snowy night, sometimes you just want things that are fried and things with melted cheese, regardless of the consistancy.

So, maybe try it out? If I remember correctly, the burgers are excellent, but I haven't had any recently. Maybe get a burger and fries and you will want to stay a while.

  4. In on a busy – liked packed to the rafters busy on a Friday night – no reservations accepted here – with a party of eight no less.

The crowd was pleasant and congenial as we all settled in for an hour wait at the bar. Drinks are reasonably priced $4 drafts and $6 drafts for premium beers. Appetizers flowed quickly from the kitchen, although I wondered why our buffalo chicken tenders came from three-fingered chickens!

All of us ordered some sort of burger, with extra pickles and onion rings flying around. The burgers are big, juicy and delicious, justifying the wait. Fries were crisp, not greasy and flavored perfectly. And the price is right for all of this goodness.

Service was prompt and spot on, especially considering the endless waves of customers.

One warning – the "cheddar" cheese is NOT real cheddar cheese. Think cheese product. Stick with Swiss or Blue if you want real cheese.

  5. Took my wife, aunt and cousin here for a Friday lunch. overall enjoyable experience. its a pleasant spot..a little loud….good place to grab a sandwich or meal and it won't break the pocketbook. My aunt and cousin  had the fish and chips special….both enjoyed their meals…very big portion. my wife had the tuna melt….disappointed it wasn't served hot but she said it was tasty. I had a bleu cheese burger..ordered it well done..it was a little dry but the blue cheese topping was out of this world good. a word about their French fries. might be among the best I have ever tasted. very crispy and delicious. disappointed they don't have free re-fills on their soda. oh well…its Westchester! One knock…it took at least a half hour to get our meals. restaurant was somewhat crowded but not jammed. seemed like a l-o-n-g wait. our server was nice and efficient but didn't give that little extra that can easily give a restaurant that extra "star".

  6. Pipers Kilt is a great place to go to. Although it's a pain to find parking but it's nothing too serious that will keep me from coming back. The food is great. The staff are all friendly. Great atmosphere. However it does get a bit crowded and busy on the weekends so gotta plan to get there before the busy hours. But overall I love Pipers Kilt.

  7. Sorry, Pipers Kilt does not only patronize local customers  as some have mentioned.  I am new and felt very welcomed. They do get busy, but always accommodate everyone as is best to their capacity.
As I have written:  Piper's Kilt is a neighborhood favorite in Eastchester.  A pure simple, classic pub with the best burgers, grilled perfectly with just enough char.  Good selection of beers,  wine, drinks, fries, wings, the typical pub fare. Very clean bathrooms, handicap accessible. Super friendly efficient bartenders and wait staff.
My boyfriend's family have been coming here since the 1970s.
The place is pretty much packed nightly. They obviously have a loyal following.

  8. AMAZING FOOD. Piper's Kilt simply has the best bar food I have ever tried. I come here at least once every two weeks. It beats all the other bar restaurants in Westchester county.
The service is amazing. Everyone here is fun to be around and nice as can be.
The burgers here are to die for!!!! You must try a burger. They really are juicy and delicious. The wings here are also delicious. Something else interesting to try is their french onion soup. (ONE OF THE BEST I EVER HAD!)
everything about this place is great. I highly recommend their burgers, wings, soup and nachos for everyone. DELICIOUS
