I'll give it a quarter of a star, for good measure……I normally wouldn't review on this sorta place, but it sucked so bad I hope to keep any Wall Streeters away from this place. So what does $7.50 get you. I ordered the Tandoori Chicken Pita that supposedly comes with Mango Chutney. Lets see, I got two small pieces of grilled chicken, which was about as tandoori'd as my mother's matzoh balls. No chutney of course and to top it all off the Pita was torn in half…..gotta love these concept places!!!
Though initially, I pictured a place for grungy crazy vegetarians, this place turned out to be a good find. Tucked away down the block from one of our offices, it offered a new option to the infinite possibilities that I already had for lunch. I was hungry. Very hungry.
I had the Steak & Fresh Mozzarella panini. It was GREAT!! I was actually pleasantly surprised. I started talking to the owner of the place and he was a cool guy and tries very hard to make sure the customers are happy. They even have diet brownies…I don't know who would eat such a thing, but hey, they have a bunch of options for everyone, burgers for those who wanna eat…and salad for those who want to pick.
Sad that others didn't have the same experience. Oh well…at least I had a great meal…as for pricing..its down the block from wall street…its a tourist and business area..its not macdonalds…
I want to like Pita Grill SO bad, but this is a break-in-case-of-emergency place for me. Like I have a bad craving for falafel and it's raining and i won't walk to Alfanoose. You'd think true to their name, they'd be superfluous with the pita bread. Nope! You get one stinking pita bread for an entire container of hummus or tzatziki (called cucumber yogurt dip…seriously? why can't you call it "tzatziki?"). One piece? You can't give me at least two (or have it as an option on the menu?) And their hummus aint all that either…very bland…probably lack of garlic. Just an overall disappointment.
