What the heck? They say something like the thinest pizza ever but I was like, yeah, okay, then upon seeing the result I think even gluten free dieters would be able to eat this pizza! However, that is not the most unusual part — the really unique thing here is they give you a serving of greens and sprouts and the intent is to roll (think Rollio) the pizza up like a sushi roll and eat it. Okay, for pizza traditionalists this is probably heresy of some form but for me I like the idea. Not that I want all of my pizza like this but for Pizza Rollio the answer is yes!
I just plain liked it. Nothing insane on the pizza but the topping choices were varied, the flavors were spot on & the concept is FUN. You take your elongated length of the oval pie and roll it up (able to do so because super thin crust, which is good) with sprouts & arugula inside. It sounds odd but extremely delicious. It is worth a stop in the Plaza Food Hall to check out.
They have changed the menu for the better! I love the selection they have. Good choice!
Pizza has more filling as well and substantial for a great meal!
Yum! I tend to like my pizza one of two ways- thin crust or Detroit style. I saw Pizza Rollio in the food hall and I decided to give it a go. I ordered the pizza with prosciutto, pepperoni, mushroom and onion. It was ready in about ten minutes and the price was decent, I think around $12.
I tried the roll thing with the greens inside but I guess I'm kind of a purist so I just rolled the pizza and ate it. It was really buttery, cheesy, and delicious. The service was very friendly and the shop was kept clean.
Pizza sushi? Pure genius.
Customer Service – The cashier was super friendly and very helpful in guiding me on a pizza choice.
Space – Refreshingly simple layout. There's about five 2-person tables and two 4-person tables.
Pizza – Mushroom truffle madness is the way to go if you're looking for a vegetarian option. I enjoyed the thin crust, as well as the arugula and alfalfa sprouts they included for me to make my pizza sushi.
Check it out in the Plaza Food Hall!
Good pizza nice service. Atmosphere great at food center in plaza hotel. I had forever friend pizza …. Garlic and fontina, mozzarella and parm cheeses. Very good. They give you greens with it that you are suppose to put on pizza and then roll up. I figured that out myself looking at pictures as they didn't tell me that. Food center great with lots of options and some good desserts!!
Not normally into "unique takes" on pizza but this place is truly an exception. Got the margarita and the mushroom to split and both were amazing – but have to give the edge to the mushroom.
Only con is I was starving after our meal. If you're the type that eats a lot be prepared to snack after!
This idea is new to me and I enjoy the addition of greens to the meal. I like pizza but really like how thin the crust is so it isn't incredibly heavy. I got the god mother with blue cheese and figs so by heavy. There is a small wait but what can you do? Half is definitely enough for 1 person.
