I'm going to have to side with the rest of the Yelp population here…Their goods are overpriced, especially that damn breakfast sandwich, and the service can be very cold but dem COOKIES–DAMN!
I stop by Plenty once every couple of months to pick-up two very specific items–their enormous homemade Oreo, and their chocolate chubbies. These are some of the best cookies I've had anywhere in the city, and are worth the hefty price point for a single confection…after all you are getting an unreal portion size. Like some others I fell of the trap of their breakfast sandwich, which has tons of cheeses and bacon–delicious but not worth $7.50. They are charging sit down breakfast prices for a take-out item.
I think Plenty is great for baked goods, the atmosphere isn't the greatest, nor is the service, so keep your eye on the prize (cookies), and get outta there!
i have bought baked goods from here before and didnt love it but when i walked past yesterday i saw they had almond croissants I had to try . It was very good. Still doesnt live up to my favorite one but def worth coming to taste.
It looks like there are side salads with the sandwiches if you go into the place; unfortunately, no salad for deliveries. It sounds trivial, but the salad would have made up for the price.
The sandwiches are good, but nothing special. They're about the quality of Panera but far pricier. I also ordered a medium mocha and paid roughly $6 for the thing thinking it would be your average medium size of 12-16 ounces. It was a measly 8 ounces for that outrageous price. Also got a side of potato pancakes that were way overdone.
Overall, our meal was $45 for two people. The food was good but we will not be ordering delivery from this place again. It's simply not worth the expensive price.
Hands down my favorite coffee shop in the city, mostly because none of you know about it.
Things I love about it:
– the menu changes
– the cakes, pies and cookies are phenomenal
– the food here is awesome. I recommend any of the salads, meatballs or the veggie sandwich. You can do healthy or some chicken and biscuits here
– illy coffee
– fast delivery. On seamless.
– fresh
– on my corner
– never a long wait
– clean
– apple juice in fridge
– CARROT CAKE
– BANANA CAKE
– ALL CAKE
I went in on a whim and ordered the Curried Chicken Salad Sandwich and the Buttermilk Biscuit.
The Curried Chicken Salad Sandwich was delicious — very, very flavorful. This is definitely a high quality sandwich shop. You can practically taste the freshness. The Buttermilk Biscuit was yummy, too, but, in hindsight, I could've skipped it because the sandwich was so filling.
I deducted one star because the counter service was super slow. Placing my order and paying took entirely too long. At one point, I almost walked out (I hadn't yet placed my order.) I don't want to blame the cashier (I don't like calling people out)… but, she could've picked up the pace. The food, however, came out within minutes.
Started by a CBS alum, this place does lunch and catering for office events just the way it should be. Light, quick bites that can be taken on the go. I am a huge fan of them – I think we're ordered quite possibly everything on their menu. Their veggie sandwich is so good – I would've never thought to put sweet potato on a sammie (definitely get this if you are vegetarian). They deliver and are always on time with great customer service for catering orders.
A reasonably priced pastry shop and café in the Upper East Side, Plenty is phenomenal. Their various pastries and desserts are inimitable. In particular, I recommend their brownie, which is sweet like maple syrup. Their muffins are also sumptuous.
On a nice, sunny day, grab a few sandwiches and pastries, and walk a few blocks over to the Park. You'll be very happy with the friendly service and the delicious delights.
Perfect place for breakfast on the go. Grabbed an almond croissant which was heavenly and a latte on my walk to the Metropolitan Museum. Seemed a little pricey ($7), but you get what you pay for and I felt like it was worth it.
