Nam Chico
Worst place to eat in the Bronx. The food taste great, but I never asked for extra spice. And when I say extra spice, I'm talking about finding a bug on top of my campero rice. I should have complained but I didn't. I'm guessing the bug flew in the food and no one bothered to inspect the food before serving it on a plate. Not only did I find a bug in my food. They forgot my order as well as my friends order (they said a copy of the receipt wasnt in the back). They messed up three times!
Besides that, the boneless meat chicken tastes great but I wish it came with more pieces (there were only 5 pieces). I like that the chicken wasn't dry unlike most white meat chicken. It's crispy and juicy. The cilantro lime sauce and the campero sauce goes well with the chicken. The yuka fries are pretty good as well. They're crispy and delicious. The guava drink is tasty and refreshing.
Sure I'll go back to Pollo Campero. But not this location. I don't want a bug in my food. Below is a picture of the bug after my friend flicked it off my rice.
May I say, the chicken was great! I ordered the Peruvian line grilled chicken (leg/thigh) and the taste resembled like that of Latin rotisserie chicken. I had it with the campero rice which was ok but the included roll…yuck no taste whatsoever, and dry. Reasonably priced options but I recommend trying the little campero chicken
