  1. Best brunch experience ever.

They really have everything you can imagine at brunch: omelette station, eggs benedict, cold sides, hot sides, crepe station, and… Chocolate fondue?! Oh and don't forget unlimited alcohol: mimosa, bloody mary, wine, champagne, you name it.

It IS pretty steep (close to $90pp) but so worth it for special occasions. Be treated like kings and queens for brunch! The service was over the top.

With any buffet brunch, you can't expect EVERYTHING to be good (like the sushi and steak… Could've been better) but they had amazing lobster and a variety of any and every brunch dish I could ask for.

The chefs and wait staff were super friendly, and made the brunch experience that much better.

Can't wait to come back with more friends/family soon! Perfect place for birthday/holiday celebrations. Highly recommended especially if you're in the area 🙂

  2. Had a lovely lunch with colleagues here on a Thursday afternoon.  We all wanted the crab cake with a salad, and they were very nice in accommodating our request.  The crab cake was fantastic (!) and made up almost entirely of crab (which sounds silly, but so often you get one that's half breadcrumbs or other filler).  Remoulade was tasty, as well as the coleslaw that accompanied it.  I had the shallot vinaigrette, and would definitely recommend it – the greens were well dressed.

Patrick was our server, and he did a wonderful job keeping our waters filled, and attending to any additional requests.  He was very good about letting us have a working lunch, and was available but not hovering (so, perfect as far as I'm concerned).  Thank you!

The decor of the restaurant is very cool – red leather chairs, dark interior – very steakhouse-ish.  We didn't drink with lunch, but each had soda or tea, and the bill was totally reasonable for such a great meal in a beautiful atmosphere.

I hear the brunch is very good, too, so we'll definitely give that a shot.  My first thought upon leaving was that I need to bring my fiancé there, and soon!

  3. This review is solely for Sunday brunch.

Located right inside the Garden City Hotel, this was easily the best brunch experience I've ever had. It was the epitome of class and perfection.

Very few places can do buffets THIS WELL. I was surprised and impressed with the quality and set up of the food. The spread was immaculate and truly a sight.

    They had everything
    – an array of cold salads, cured meats and cheeses, other cold things
    – a ridiculous amount of seafood, including sushi and lobster (tell me, when do you EVER find lobster at a buffet…)
    – several cuts of steak, duck, lamb, all the good stuff
    – french toast and waffles with maple syrup and berries
    – omlette station
    – eggs benedict
    – viennese style dessert table (including a chocolate fountain, cake pops, other cute desserts of that nature)

They also served mimosas, bloody Mary's, wine, and champagne (starting at noon). I really liked the mimosas. I didn't care so much for the bloody Mary's – it was a bit grainy and weird.

Now service at a place like this will always be outstanding of course. Our waiter was attentive, our glasses were always full, plates were cleared when they needed to be, and they managed to do that without really interrupting our time there.

I also really liked the set up of the restaurant. Everything about it was spacious and handsome. Even the chairs – I wouldn't even consider them chairs. They were more like couches. So comfortable.

Dress code – I don't think there's strict dress code but I wouldn't suggest coming in super casual clothes. I doubt you'd get kicked out but everyone was very well put together. Overall, a very classy atmosphere.

Honestly, everything about this brunch was fancy and over the top, but in a good way. It's like $80-something a person which includes everything. Hefty price tag but you definitely get what you pay for. This is more of a special occasion place rather than a weekly spot – many of the other tables, including ours was celebrating a birthday.

I really do love this place and hope I find myself here again.

  4. Summary: Oh. Em. Gee.
    Food: 5 stars
    Service: 4 stars
    Atmosphere: 4 stars
Value: 4 stars (with hesitation–want to give more).
    will I go back: Abso-freaking-lutely.

Ever since I moved to Long Island 10 years ago, I have heard about the fabulous (but expensive) brunch at Garden City hotel.  I finally went with my wife.

Before continuing, must say that getting reservations for their 1st seating is difficult, so call ahead well in advance.

    Food:
If I could give more stars, I would.  I tried everything, and I loved everything.  (I'm not kidding about trying everything, by the way…)

    Service:
It's all you can eat, with some complimentary drinks.  Drinks were kept full without question.  Only 1 knock: the bus staff cleaned off our table too early.  We came back from getting dessert and found all our cutlery and glasses gone.  They were very apologetic and reset.  It didn't take away from our experience though.

    Atmosphere:
Tables are a bit too close together.  Especially for a buffet. Makes getting out quite difficult.

    Value:
It is expensive (works out to be $75 pp), but it's by far the best brunch I've ever had, and I love brunch.
