Although it's a bit pricey, their pizza is probably one of the best in the area if you like the more thin crust pizza. Cheese is stringy and the chicken vodka pizza is pretty amazing.
Tried the buffalo chicken the other day – my new favorite!
This is the only pizzeria we order from because it the only place in the area that cooks from an actual brick oven and also cuz we could be fully satisfied with their pasta and salad selection as well.
My main go to food is their margarita pizza and penne pasta or italian hero and i could never skip on their caesar salad. Never have been disappointed and i love trying out their pizza and pasta selection as well.
The only downside is the wait time for both take out and delivery but I guess since Rome wasn't built in a single day, they take that much time and effort on their dishes.
For fresh authentic Italian cuisine this is the place to dine. The restaurant is a bit small but quaint. On nice days you can dine outside. At the waiter's suggestion we tried the sautéed calamari with fresh garlic, olive oil, basil and marinara sauce. It was absolutely delicious! For my entree I had penne arrabiata with sausage and meatballs. My wife had the rustic lasagne. Both pasta entrees were fresh. The meat and sauce were moist and very flavorful. All I can say is wow! We ended our evening with my favorite dessert; tartufo. We weren't disappointed. We will definitely be back!!!
After wanting to test this place out for months I had the chance to do so. The experience wasn't as good as I expected, in fact it was surprisingly disappointing.
The outdoor seating looked great but I decided on the upstairs indoor area just to see what kind of restaurant this is.
The decor was alright, nothing nice and nothing bad. The menu options seemed really good and I went with the waiters suggestion on chicken with potato in a cream sauce.
The dish came with penne in red sauce as a side (which was better than the main).
The main had rubbery chicken that had just about no flavor to it, the sauce was watered down so also lacked in the "cream" part of cream sauce. The pepper and potato wasn't bad, but I didn't order a 16$ plate of potatoes and green peppers.
The worst and most surprising thing was the vibrating floor. It seems like my table was set over an industrial refrigerator. Trying to eat while my chair and table vibrated like a cellphone was not pleasant.
2/5 because bad food, bad dining experience and a price that is a bit high for what I got.
Wood not recommend the food or eating indoors. Maybe try the pizza in the outdoor?
Don't let the pizza parlor storefront or steep, narrow flight of stairs put you off, This place really knows how to do homemade Italian and the price is right! BYOB, not too crowded on a Friday night, great service, and very good food (special attention to the homemade pastas and sauces- pappardelle and black squid linguini were best). Prices are most reasonable and I'm thrilled to have found a new staple restaurant in the fort lee area (Napoli is great but I need to mix things up sometimes).
For an app we shared eggplant rollatini- was awesome. I ordered a chicken special with asparagus and tomatoes in a white wine sauce with a side of homemade pasta in vodka sauce (got the mini raviolis, can't remember what they're called.) Dad- the homemade black squid linguini with bolognese (awesome), grandma- homemade spinach linguini (slightly al dente) with vodka sauce and salmon (good), mom- veal special with eggplant, tomato, and mozzarella.
All in all, looking forward to returning!!
Heard great things about this restaurant so I gave it a try and regretted it. Walked in with my boyfriend and wasn't sure if we should've seated ourselves (?) or if the waiter was just gonna continue to look at us and go back to his phone. Eventually I asked if we can sit and were seated afterwards. We got the squid ink pasta with vodka sauce and the seafood combo linguine. Forgot the names but they're under the pasta menu. They were bland, a little too thick, and not that great. The best thing about my dine in experience was the complimentary bread that came with our meal. Don't recommend! 2 stars because they have outdoor seating.
What a nice little hole-in-the-wall italian place. I've only had their pasta but supposedly their pizza is quite good as well.
They make a killer tortellini Alfredo, and their crab cake appetizer is also quite good.
The location, which is hidden away on some back street, features both indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor section is well maintained and is surrounded by small shrubs which they have equipped with some illuminated arcs. It makes you feel like you're at a much more expensive restaurant. Very romantic.
Did I mention they also deliver?
Food is delicious! Had four cheese pizza, chicken parm over penne and also eggplant parm over penne – Prices are a little pricy but it's totally worth it since the portions are huge!! Definitely plenty to have lunch the next day. And food was wonderful! Got delivery and it took under a half hour – I totally recommend this restaurant and I will definitely be ordering from them again!
