  1. This place is pretty cool. I like the atmosphere and they have a full bar. The drinks aren't overly strong but not weak either; somewhere in between. My friends were pretty buzzed from the giant beers they had, haha. The bartender was friendly and helpful; they'll give you beer samples if you're not sure what to get. Cocktail prices are about normal; some are a bit higher than others. I didn't have any food so I'll have to come back to try that next time.

  2. We had Popburged catered at work one day so I guess this review is a little biased since I had the food for free. Anyway, the mini burgers (sliders, if you will) and mini veggie burgers are great – the veggie is similar to Shake Shack's shroomburger – as are the tater tots. I did get a slight stomach ache a while later but they tasted great going down!

  3. Walking through the streets of NYC on a hot and humid Friday afternoon, a friend and I stopped into Pop Pub for a quick beer and air conditioning. We didn't really have any place in mind, so we ended up in Pop Pub. The place was fairly empty for 3:30 on a Friday afternoon and we were about the only ones sitting at the bar. A few tables in the front had a few people milling about, but certainly nice and quiet.

Decent selection on tap, and I ended up with a local brew. My friend did Angry Orchard. Bartender was quick and offered a sample before I committed to a drink, and he was quick with the waters. Nice little place to relax and chat for a bit inside where it's cool.

  4. Some friends and I were wandering up University Place the other night, looking for a place to watch game 1 of the NBA Finals. We were drawn into this place because (a) it wasn't too packed and (b) there were a bunch of TVs, all showing the game, evenly spaced throughout the bar. We were able to get a nice sized booth (it fit six of us comfortably, easily could have fit two or three more people) and ordered some spicy fries and onion rings for the table. The fries and rings were out within ten minutes, and everybody enjoyed them. There was a solid beer selection as well, with maybe a dozen or so beers on tap.

I could see myself spending a lot of time here this summer, especially early in the evening, perhaps playing some foosball. Will be back.

  5. Not crowded, but slow service.  Nice ambiance  though. The fries are nicely flavored and crunchy.  The milkshake creamy and deliciously sweet.  They can try to improve on the service though.  I also like that they have a foosball table, you can play a game while waiting for your food or while drinking by the bar.

  6. *** Helpful waitress, Cozy environment, Mediocre snacks ***

Came here for a quick drink and fries with a friend. I was disappointed by their cheesy fries. The cheese comes in a plastic container that I'm sure was straight out of a can of some sort. The drink was standard, nothing too special. Cozy, large space though.

  7. The service was above average, the decor is interesting and different, but the menu was very limited. However, the seating arrangement is simultaneously cute and upscale.

We ordered the fried calamari and pop burgers. The calamari wasn't seasoned well despite the herbs pictured in the photo; as a result, we had to dunk them into the marinara sauce so we weren't just chewing on plain squid. The pop burgers were juicy and succulent. It's everything you want out of a good burger, except slider sized. Burgers sometimes lack consistency in that not every ingredient covers the whole burger. That was not the case here. Every bite was uniform and equally delicious. The fries were perfectly crispy and not oily. Naturally, burgers and fries pair well together.

  8. Large, dim, rather dark atmosphere. Plenty of seating, the place is spacious, and relaxed. I like the use of wood throughout the place… in the chairs, tables, booths, floors, walls, and throughout.

There's screens all around for watching sports. Chill but with a busy hum. I like it.
