  1. This Popeyes location is ok. It's located on a busy strip on Francis Lewis. The staff/ customer service is decent. Most of the staff are friendly but you always have that one or two staff members that look like their cat just died.
Food wise, it's ok. It's a win/lose situation when it comes to their tenders. Sometimes I feel as if the tenders aren't cooked properly. The fries are always fresh and the soda machine is in the lobby so you can get free refills. I will be returning due to its convenience.

  2. I don't have much to say about this Popeyes.

There is parking on the street, but you most likely won't get a spot. There is also parking in the rear of the building, but those are usually full, because there is a hair salon back there too and that lot is shared with a Subway.

The store is small, and can get really tight in the evenings.

The food is regular, just like any other Popeyes. No complaints.

The service is okay. They work kind of slow, depending on who is working that day. It's a hit or miss.

    This place is just okay.

  3. It's pretty much like a typical Popeyes Franchise. There is one lady that is generous with the chicken tender portion. I always have 10 tenders in my box knowing damn well I ordered three (I see you girl)!

Advice: Never park right in front of Popeyes during rush-hour, people enjoy double-parking and only leaving their kids in the car to look bewildered. I usually park a block away towards the store to save me time and less traffic.

  4. If there were a Popeye's next to Peter Luger's and if our reservations were cancelled or took too long and my group decided to forget Luger's, I would be more than happy to eat Popeye's!

No, not all Popeye's are the same just because they are a chain. Yes, this one served me up a slight better crispy chicken, mash potatoes and biscuit, equal or tastier than the others, but yeah as a chain not by that much.

Crisp fried shell and soft flavorful meat on my chicken. Spicy. My mash was hot and smooth. The gravy flavorful, right amount of it and right texture (not dried up or too liquid in consistency). The biscuit was a bit dry but good, could be more moist and fluffy but all Popeye's have biscuits like this.

Though seating was lacking, only 2 tables are available; I think this is meant to be like an -on the go- type Popeye's. The staff made up for the lack of seating by their good service. This Popeye's had a bunch of people behind the counter to handle the small line that usually forms. Also there were no restroom but they did have a soda fountain.

Four stars for tasty food and quick/friendly service, not a four star style restaurant.

Nice quick stop for food on my route…
