Hit my 100th review!
…..Popeyes! What?! This Popeyes always serves hot, crispy, juicy chicken and it has not once dissapointed me. The cleaniness of the restaurant is good, staff are quick and very efficient.
First time at Popeyes! 🙂 Overall, I definitely enjoyed the fried chicken here over KFC. Light, crispy and not too oily, the double chicken combo with fries proved to be quite tasty and yummy.
As for the venue itself, it's clean and service was average. Just know that the staff isn't shy to shoo you out at closing time (which is understandable).
What was nice about this place was: got an extra piece of chicken when the biscuits were out. Win win :))
Recently dined in at this location and i was disappointed. The service was okay. But my son's chicken tenders were super dry and barely any meat. But the worst part was our mac n cheese. It looked so sad.. Barely filled up and the macaroni was so small and thin. Idk if they were in a rush so they just dumped it in. Ive been to popeyes in 86st location and they were way better.
Cool spot, I had a vicious desire for some fried chicken. Cravings are a mofo, even tried meditating but all I could see was oil and chicken parts floating in oil. Dam you chicken!!!
Chicken was alright I mean come on you need to eat this stuff while its still hot. Have you ever eaten this chicken cold ewwwww, gross. And if you reheat it gets hard and dry.
I love the biscuits and tried to eat healthy so ordered a side of string beans that was a mistake. The string beans were like death, overcooked, soggy and limp.
I've been going to this Popeyes since before they moved from their previous location on 8th ave. The quality is still the same – that is to say pretty good. If you like how Popeye's does things, then I don't think you'll be disappointed by this location. It's a trip to see Chinese signage on a franchise, but they're rolling with the times. The sides are always consistent – good bisuits and mashed potatoes. I mean, someone did get shot out front recently, but… gang activity shouldn't affect the quality of your chicken.
Food: 3.5/5.0
Service: 2.5/5.0
Value: 3.5/5.0

Overall: 3.0/5.0
Yes, yet another chain review. Sue me :D.
Popeyes in general is definitely a cut above that other bigger national chain that exists in the city. The chicken here is the standard well fried goodness and the service is usually pretty quick. The scene is a bit hectic often with lots of carriages and kids running around, but that's the neighborhood and this is a fast food joint, not P** S*.
What?!? No review yet for this Popeyes location??? Well okay, I'll be the first.
This spot has been opened for a few months now. Their previous location was on 8th Ave and 64th Street. When we found out the first location was closed, my family was disappointed….yes, we frequent popeyes a lot. But soon after found out they were moving to another location near by and we were relieved.
This location's customers are mostly chinese..Yes, Chinese people luvvvv their fried chicken. Just went in and I guess most people are on their lunch break people there were quite a few people on line and also sitting, eating food.
Since there's a constant flow of customers, the food is usually up to par and not just sitting out under the heat lamp. Food is definitely way better than their competitor, you know who….I'm looking at you Mister Colonel.
