Popeyes always has great deals and new chicken recipes
This location always as long lines and not to happy cashiers.
Either way, there's some good chicken to be had! The sides are all hit or miss
Cajun fries– hit; mac n cheese — big miss; green beans — hit; rice and red beans –miss
Stick to what you know, there's no reason to switch it up when you go to Popeyes. And be sure to go later in the afternoon when all the students and kids aren't running around or be prepared to wait in line for chicken that's already cooked and just waiting for a box
Popeyes Spicy Fried Chicken, 11 mixed pieces for $12.99 special on 8/9/13. Awesome deal. Nice staff.
Yes, it's a Chain.
Yes, I still enjoy the fried chicken at Popeye's.
The employees here are kind and quick. Our order was ready in no time. The chicken was served warm and crispy. I've always been a fan of the seasoning they use on their chicken and fries. The gravy on their mashed potatoes is also yum.
It's nice to know that there is a Popeye's here for when I am in the mood for some Spicy Fried Chicken.
This is a Popeye's…so what you see if very much what you get. What I appreciate here is the consistency. Their food (while obscenely unhealthy and of the fast food variety) is a delicious explosion of flavor in your mouth. They hand batter their fried chicken in a fantastic seasoned batter that pays tribute to their New Orleans heritage.
I've eaten here on-site once and the atmosphere was buzzing with office people on their lunch hour, but the space was clean and organized. Their staff was friendly, efficient and timely. Last Friday my office ordered from here last Friday for a random "Fried Chicken Friday" and naturally I was overjoyed (free food! yaya!!).
I've had their mild chicken, spicy chicken (they're not kidding, it's definitely got some kick) and their signature sides like potatoes, mac and cheese and of course – their [in]famous buttermilk biscuits and it's all been great. I much prefer their boneless Chicken tenders…but that's just because I prefer boneless meat in general.
Plus you can get a full meal here for only $5 (includes a choice of two mixed pieces of Popeyes fried chicken [spicy or mild] or three pieces of fried chicken tenders [spicy, mild, or blackened] plus two individual/regular sides and a buttermilk biscuit) and it'll be a bajillion times better than anything made at KFC. If you've for $5 in your pocket, are hungry and in an area where there is a Popeye's and not much of anything else – do it.
Official notice: I have visited and asked local people in New Orleans. The flavor of Popeyes is Louisiana! No wonder locals pick PE down in south.
We have been crashing this place many times for affordable group lunch. It is normally packed during this time period. Please be patient for long line and dear empty seat. freshly fried crispies are always my choice. Chicken is normally well cooked and tender, with egood spicy.
I takes a lot of patience to deal with customers that give you an attitude and not have the urge to yell back at the customers. With that being said, the employees and this Popeyes handled an unruly customer who was ordering in a nice and courteous manner like I've never seen before.
This Popeyes has been the quintessential friend chicken joint for Baruch students who crave chicken tenders and buttery biscuits and for those looking for a quick and filling bite to eat in the neighborhood. The staff here are extremely courteous (maybe the most well-mannered staff of all the Popeyes I've been to) and really care about their customers. The establishment is clean and there are 5-6 tables for dining.
I came back here for their Bonafide Chicken deal last week and I left a happy customer. Would I come back? I've already been here many times.
I been here a couple of times because it is the only place around here that has decent fried chicken and doesn't cost an arm and leg [I am looking at you — Hill Country]. While, it is more expensive than other Popeye's located in other boroughs, they do offer specials quite often.
The people here are very friendly, most of the time they have my order ready as soon as I come in the door [yeah, I am that kind of fat ass] or the manager comes by to say "Hello and ask about my day and then leaves" [sadly, we are not in the point in our friendship where she would throw me some extra fries 😉
The lines are long but the food is worth the wait. Then again, I could wait forever for greasy fried chicken. If you are a fan of the chain, the place warrants a visit if you are in the neighborhood and crave some fried chicken.
Man I'm back here, second time this week I'm in Popeyes, on line trying to get myself a $5… smh I think I have a problem…. When I got here the line was really long because it met me at the door. It's not a huge place and its next to a college and a few high schools so during some peak times you're bound to wait. However, the wait wasn't too long and I actually got a friendly person this time… it was like they actually wanted to be at work, I was amazed!!! My cashier was nice and helpful which encouraged me to give her my money… I mean if she kept it up I probably would've brought more chicken than I needed (I'm a customer service fanatic so when it comes around I tend to just relish the moment!).
Well as usual I ordered and I was practically in and out in no time… I waited a little longer than usual only because I ordered some popcorn shrimp as well but other than that it was delicious!!!… Never have an issue with the food at Popeyes, it's just that service that sometimes varies… but when you have a good product I guess loyalty isn't a question.
Go get you a box before the promo ends!!! You really can't beat the deal…
