  1. Very toasty sandwiches. Ordering is very plain in simple. I would rather go here than subway sandwich these days. The sandwiches here are on the price average of $6.50 for about 10 inches long. The first time I ate the pizza sandwich was good because the person added extra marinara sauce and pepper. My second time, I had a little too much mushrooms. Overall, the sandwiches are okay here.

  2. Finally found a sandwich shop other than Subway.

I've seen a few Potbelly locations around Manhattan, but I none of them are around my way so I never bothered to check it out. Now that I am working around Chelsea, I decided to give Potbelly a try and it did not disappoint! I order the grilled chicken and cheddar sandwich (with everything on it) on multi-grain bread. I'm pretty basic when it comes to sandwiches (always just lettuce, mayo and tomatoes if I'm feeling frisky), so a sandwich with everything was a huge risk. But it was so delish. They threw in jalapenos, peppers and a whole bunch of other things I would never go for. This is why it's always good to take risks in life people, you'll never know the outcome if you don't.

I have to try their milkshakes next.

  3. You know Potbelly is doing well when they open up 2 locations on the same avenue, 7 streets part (the first one on 7th ave is on 37th). This place has all the Potbelly goods, including the secret menu (look online). Service is as quick as can be during the lunch rush. The seating inside is pretty congested and filled mostly with families/tourists. I'd recommend either taking your meal back to the office and or ordering online!

  4. Potbelly is the gold standard of sub chains. They don't use obviously low-grade meat like Subway and aren't over-the-top grease and oil like Quizno's. It's not the French Laundry, but a simple sandwich prepared sensibly is the trusted ally of students going to class and travelers waiting for buses/planes everywhere.

This location is right by FIT and the UCB Training Center, so I look forward to depending on them long into the future for well-toasted, reasonably-priced lunch/dinner.

  5. I came here for lunch because I was traveling to my new school Baruch. I went in and the line wasn't too bad. I waiting in line and one of the employees sneezed. Gross! However, it wasnt near the food so it wasn't too bad. I ordered the grilled chicken and cheddar sandwich was very tasty. I ordered a chocolate chip cookie as well. The prices are decent and the location is nice. Limited seating but it is NYC. So happy with my sandwich.
