I kind of liked the idea that sandwich here is being created with enough customization, as I don't eat cheese nor mayo. That being said, there were still enough choices to be made in order to get a perfectly flavored sandwich.
Opted for the turkey breast sandwich, on a thin-sliced multi grain bread (the furthest I could go on a healthy path…) with all veggie and brown mustard. Honestly, the pepper was a bit too salty (probably I should just skip that) but other than that the taste was flawless. It was also perfect in size for a regular lunch.
Came earlier at noon to avoid wait.
I feel like the more often I come here, the more frequently I encounter employees who have terrible memory.
For the past few weeks, it seems that every time I ask to exclude a couple items (I usually say everything EXCEPT A & B), I get totally disregarded and get the exact things that I said to exclude. I'm trying to save some calories here by asking for no mayo nor oil, but I come back to the office (about 7 blocks down) and see that my sandwich is drenched in BOTH mayo and oil! It's even more frustrating when the employees repeat what I said verbatim but then put everything in my sandwich anyway. Really?
Potbelly, I know lunchtime is crazy busy for you, but you should definitely train your employees to not just be mindless sandwich-making robots, but actually register what your customers ask for.
Real Time Lunch Review, y'all!
3-stars, since it tastes better than Subway, there isn't a Quizno's nearby, and the woman who made my sammy was nice. Cashier was fake pleasant, which is better than nothing. But I've been to better Potbelly's, in terms of all around energy in the place (this one just felt void of life).
Sammy (their new "Clubby") was decent, though a bit salt. Loaded Baked Potato Soup wasn't very loaded, but was potato. But it was only filled up 3/4 of the way……uhm….Mandy L's pic shows that she was blessed with the full portion for which she paid. What's your secret, Mandy :-)?!
So check your soup before you leave.
Other than that? Passable, both in terms of being acceptable, and worthy of passing by.
0 for 2 with the online orders…and the food wasn't for me, so it was even more frustrating.
Day #1 – My boss requests an order. I work incredibly close, but I didn't think I'd have time to run to the shop, so I asked for delivery. 45 minutes pass. I call them, I'm on hold for 10 minutes. I call them again, I'm told our food was delivered to the wrong person so they have to make it again. I say, "Don't even bother delivering, someone will come pick it up." Luckily my coworker was free to do so, BUT as she was leaving, some kid wanders up with a Potbelly order, & is pretty unapologetic with the delay.
Day #2 – My boss requests an order again. I thought, "Okay, maybe it'll be easier if I just go pick it up."
I pause my work to run and grab it, hoping it'll be a 5 minute transaction. Boss wanted a strawberry banana smoothie – the place is out of bananas, and they realize it while I'm standing there. So, I'll have to wait 5-10 minutes for them to go buy some.
Are you serious? I get it, this kind of stuff happens, but it seems like they just have no concept of efficiency. If you see a smoothie order that requests bananas, wouldn't you check to make sure you had them when the order is placed TWENTY MINUTES before the customer shows up?
Luckily, the client is out of town now… I'm doubtful that the 3rd time would be the charm when it comes to ordering from this place.
Pretty good sandwich spot in midtown. I really like their chicken/cheddar sandwich and their chicken club. The bacon used in the club is really good.
Foodies beware, these sandwiches are a bit on the small side. Personally, I tend to have a big appetite so one usually isn't enough for me. I could easily eat two and maybe three if given the chance!
Grabbed a quick sandwich with a friend on Friday and I was pleased with the service and quality of the food.
This location knows that lunch time gets crazy so they have someone come up to you while your waiting online to take your order so your sandwich is ready when you get up to the counter. I thought this was very innovative and great because in midtown east everyone is looking for the quickest possible line.
I got turkey with Swiss on whole wheat with pickles, mustard, lettuce, and onion. My sandwich was delicious and I will definitely be going back for another sandwich!
Okay full disclosure… I used to love Quiznos. There, I said it. And then I moved to a place where there was no Quiznos, but instead a Subway on every corner, and I was sad.
But now, there's Potbelly! An upscale Quiznos! While they might not like the comparison, to me, that's what they are and that's just fine.
Great sandwiches at reasonable prices. I have a coworker who always gets lunch/dinner form here. I finally decided to give it a try. I ordered their large mediterranean sandwich with chicken ($9). They make it fast (perfect lunch break option). The sandwiches are big enough to save half for dinner. It's my new go to sandwich place!
