Inexpensive, healthy, and SO EFFICIENT. Standard Pret fare, so I won't comment on the food itself, but this location is always well-stocked during the lunch hour and has a wide variety of choices (especially vegetarian options). I work right across the street so this location is my go-to when I only have 10 mins to grab lunch. The staff here is friendly and incredibly fast–I've been in and out of here in under 3 mins, even when the line is almost to the door! In fact, it usually takes me longer to decide what to get than it does to wait in line and pay. Honestly, don't know what I'd do without this Pret.
Oh! For Halloween, they asked their customers "Trick or treat?" and if we responded "treat", we got a free Pret brownie!
I wish I could eat sandwiches everyday all day but with the way my digestive system is set up…..Pret is very good. You can't go wrong with any of their fresh pre made sandwiches. I like the openness of this space. Friendly staff always. I just tore up a ham and cheese on a baguette. Yum!
My 4 stars goes to:
1) Shrimp sandwich – shrimps are so easy to overcooked and become rubbery but they nailed it! It was cooked just right, juicy and soft. I like the seasoning or sauce that is in it too. It's not overpowering but gives a great flavor!
2) Mushroom cream soup (s) – it tasted a healthier version of Campbell's mushroom soup. You don't need to add any seasoning (salt). It's perfectly seasoning! I appreciated of its freshness. The soup is rather heavy, it's a good idea to share with others.
3) Carrot cake – moist and not so sweet cake is rich and heavenly!
4) Soda – the ingredients are excellent! Mostly sweetened by grape juice or natural way! I like their Ginger Beer.
Least favorites are….chips. They are good but not goos as bad chips.
Convenient location with pretty fresh and tasty sandwiches. Only issue is that one chicken sandwich at $8.15 does not fill me up. Maybe one and a half will, but when I'm looking for a quick lunch I'm not looking for a $12 meal. Their drinks look good though so perhaps I'll give that a try next time
You gotta like Pret. Inexpensive, fresh, great veggie options. Awesome season salads are one of my favorites. The warm and ready to go (pret a manger :b) wraps and the toasties too.
They COULD become perfect if they stopped using plastic altogether and included a paper recycling bin.
Pret is awesome. It's always super quick and the food is actually really good! I love the bircher muesli for breakfast or a quick snack, and the wraps/sandwiches are great too. Lately I've been into the waldorf sage pesto flatbread thing but the bang bang chicken wrap is a classic. They also have solid soups.
One big perk about the cookies/pastries is that they're always warm, which is really nice. The coffee's only okay but it does the trick. The specially made coffee drinks etc are better than the brewed coffee, but when it's this quick and convenient, who really cares?
Bottom line: Really fast and good food. Huge fan. Never tried something there I didn't like.
I love me some Pret A Manger! But this one wasn't as nice as others I've been to and the staff was less than helpful. I came in early on a weekday morning to grab some sandwiches to go. I also got tempted into purchasing the chicken noodle soup, though I honestly think that their small cup of soup is the most overpriced item on their menu, and even their brownie bites at $1.97 are nuts! But really, almost $4 for a small cup of soup that only contains ONE measly bite of chicken? Anyway, at least it tasted good. My biggest gripe about this visit was the fact that I wanted to purchase some half size vegetarian sandwiches, but the only half size sandwiches available were ones with meat. I asked one of the staff whether or not there would be any vegetarian ones packaged in half size but she just grunted an uninterested, "No." at me. Oh well, I guess you'll lose some of my business then. I will continue to eat at Pret because I love their sandwiches, but I may avoid this one in the future.
Oh, this one also takes NYU Student Cards.
Though it isn't as spacious as a nearby location, this is my favorite Pret in the area. Even more than other ones, the staff is always really nice and on-point with advice about certain products and such. The coffee is usually fresh even though they tend to run out of soymilk. It would also help if they had almond milk as an option as well since it doesn't settle as much as the soy one does. Their soups are also very tasty.
If I had one complaint its that this location is TOO popular, and as a vegetarian they tend to run out of sandwiches I can eat, or at the least would prefer to (I don't usually like the cheese heavy ones). All in all, I'm a Pret fiend!
