PS 450
“You may dance and groove for a good amount of time to the awesome djs they have, during brunch.”
“One of the things I liked most was the DJ playing dance music to get people in the party spirit.”
“Loved how people felt free to dance by the bar but there was also a designated dance area (which was also filled).”

This place is still one of my favorite brunch spots! The definition of a "turn up brunch" so I would recommend it for birthdays and other special occasions. The only thing I suggest is once you make a reservation let your guests know that they better show up so you aren't paying for empty seats (or to pay you for their seat in advance).
I came in recently and though I did send an email saying one less person couldn't make it in, they charged me anyway. I could understand if it made a difference in the restaurant but it did not as there were empty tables and if the other person did show up, the table we were at wouldn't allow them to sit comfortably anyhow. A+ for the turn up, and a C- for the service on this day.
It's been a while since I've felt the need to write a review as negative as this one, but I'll start with a caveat.
1. The food was DELICIOUS – I highly recommend the huevos rancheros
2. Our waitress was INCREDIBLE -she gave us jugs of mimosas + bellinis so we wouldn't run out, shots on the house, and was as attentive as she could be. She deserves five stars.
3. The music was ON POINT – the DJ was open to requests (multiple times) and kept everyone in a dancing mood throughout the meal
Now, we had a party of 5 and chose to partake in the bottomless brunch plus extra entrees. Our bill came out to over $300, however, we were still asked to leave because we had been there for 2.5 hours (2 hour limit for brunch). We'd already been given our last pitcher of drinks and were just working on finishing those before heading out. Spontaneously, one of the members of my party also just purchased a round of shots for everyone. Promptly after doing so, one of the managers or hosts came over and asked us to leave because he had another party coming in. This would have been completely fine had the rest of the restaurant been packed as well. Their entire first room was completely empty. Instead of telling us to leave, if he really needed our table, he could have easily asked us to move tables. After all, we had spent a sizable amount on a day where their business was not booming (July 4th). That entire encounter ruined my experience at PS 450. I was a really happy customer until then, but I will not condone being asked to leave after spending a significant amount at the business and being spoken to rudely. I'm sure I can find another brunch establishment like this where I would receive better customer service.
I don't know how I feel about this. I don't feel like writing paragraphs about this place so I'll make points.
1. The bartenders are HOT.
2. It's so crowded during the day, by night it's empty. I stopped here for my birthday one night and I could basically hear crickets. Oh, I guess that's when creeps come out, too.
3. The price for bottomless drinks (2 hours) is perfect
4. The selections SUCK.
5. The staff here are rude and don't accommodate to the needs of customers who wait there longer than people who aren't.
6. Good music
7. The bathroom has a lady in there handing you paper towels – no I'm not tipping you for that.
8. My friend got kicked out for spilling a drink she poured, and SPENT OUR MONEY ON. Not just told to be careful, but clearly NOT an intoxicated mess but accidental and she was unable to stay.
9. The bogus security didn't want to get the manager while we were standing outside. I've never heard of such thing during a complaint, and for that I would never come here again.
PS 450 seems to be the happening place around town.
As a party of three, we showed up around 6pm and the place was packed. Food isn't served until 6:30, but it seems like we had stumbled upon a very happening day party. We were really lucky to find a table that wasn't really close to the door.
I'm thinking this is a place many locals frequent because when we got there, no one had greeted us for about 20 minutes. This place loses marks for me because the service is very slow. We pretty much had to flag down our server for everything: to order drinks, to order food, and to get the bill. No one checked up on us when we got our food. If they had, they would have realized that my boyfriend had frozen tomatoes on his burger. And that's a shame because I thought their shrimp burger was really delicious. But the lack of caring there really dissuades me from coming back.
PS450 changed from when I celebrated my birthday here 2 years ago. I came here two weekends ago on a Sunday to celebrate my friend's birthday with about 15 people, and it was very different from what I remembered. My friend had to choose 3 items off of the family sharing menu a few days prior to the day of, and the whole table had to share from those family style items.
Personally, I think that's pretty lame. Everyone should get their own plate of whatever they want. Our brunch still came out to $60 per person which was the same as what I paid two years ago except we all got our own dishes so it was actually worth the money. They made everything really complicated to be honest. I also heard that you have to put in a certain amount of money to hold your reservation as well. Idk how I feel about this place in the future, but the DJ & mimosas are still on point.
I've never heard of this place before visiting it in October 2015 for a friend's birthday. At first just walking in it seemed like a regular bar but the further you went into the place in the back the room opens up to a very uniquely designed with a library decorum lounge area with it own bar. I mainly stayed in the back in the lounge area for the gathering, it was a very open space. The old me would say the Bartender sucked but the bar was packed, the happy hour drinks were great so it's expected for them to be busy. The food was different and okay for bar food but had the potential to get messy especially if you're getting tipsy.
Overall its a great meet up spot for an after work happy hour; plenty seating and standing room for a good amount of people, music wasn't too loud and had variety and lastly the pricing wasn't too bad. If I got thirsty every Thursday I would definitely be hitting this spot up.
I came here with a colleague one day after work and and we had some drink at a side table off the bar. The bartenders and servers were nice, friendly and not overbearing. The crowd at that time was mostly an after work crowd and it wasnt too crowded. We had some appetizers with our drinks and we ordered them twice, they were really good.
I'm sad to see that I had to drop a star off of this place because it was one of my favorite turn-up brunch spots in the past. The turn-up is still there, however it was just not the same as the past. Not really a fan of the new decor they've done to the back lounge area. Seems a lot darker than before and meant for a more intimate setting as opposed to the boozy turn-up brunch setting that I'm used to.
The saddest part of my latest experience is that I saw the bottom of the glass far too many times. The bottomless function was not operating as well as it did in the past as our waitress was very slow to refill our carafes especially towards the end. I'd pour one out for the star that had to get dropped off of one of my favorite brunch spots, but I'm not sure how much of this bottomless I really have left.
