This place was a great find in a quieter location in Queens. The fiance and i happened here as we were in the area and looking for italian food. The first time we came it was delicious! Seafood pasta, chicken parm, a mushroom appetizer and tiramisu. The bread is super delicious too dipped in their yummy olive oil. I did have a mishap with this part of the meal where i was pretty grossed out by a long white hair that appeared to be baked into the bread that was already half-chewed in my mouth. The waiter, Richard, was really nice and tried to offer me some complimentary wine or something, but i was in the bathroom..
But we came here again!
This time intentionally from Brooklyn because we were both craving the delicious food. The bread this time was amazing and I got a salmon pasta that i think was in alfredo sauce, we tried the brushetta which was nice, he got the chicken parm again and we got double orders of tiramisu. It is one of the best you can get! There are not too many places that can find that nice balance and it's awesome that it's homemade like most or all of the pastas and stuff on the menu.
Would recommend and would definitely come back!
I was pretty disappointed with my meal here. I grew up eating Italian food and this place did not meet by standards.
There were six of us at the table and they brought out the food what seemed like one plate at a time with several minutes in between. Then as we all had out food except one person the waiter asked her what she ordered and said it will just be a minute. This is not a good sign. Obviously they forgot to make her food. We are polite people so we waited stating at our food getting cold. I may have missed it, but I never once heard an apology from the staff.
Finally I was able to eat. I had the lasagna. I liked the added sausage chunks, but the texture was just off on the noodles and the sauce was missing something as well.
Booked a private party for my fathers 60th birthday. The prices were reasonable and the food was more than enough. They were accommodating in ALL aspects of our requests and definately willing to work with us. I cannot say more good things about this place. They were efficient and courteous in every way. Definately a great place to hold a private party! My father was EXTREMELY PLEASED!
I went here for a year end party with the school I work at. The place is nice and clean but not special in regards to ambiance. The bar has the standard selection. We had a five course Meagher minestrone soup was okay a strong pepper flavor which I liked. The calamari was okay. Their sauce leaves a lot to be desired. The salad was good. I really liked the balsamic dressing. Mu main course was salmon. It was cooked nicely, but not very flavorful. Not bad, but nothing special. My side of roasted potatoes were dry. The whole main course needed a sauce. Service was nice. Bathrooms were clean and as silly as it sounds I liked that they were both unisex it stopped a lot of lines because the flow never stopped. As a guy its rarely I have to wait long for a bathroom trip, but at a small restaurant with all you can drink beer wine and soda a flowing line is important.
I'll try it here once without a set menu and large group to confirm my feelings.
There were issues that didn't impact ne personally, but it may not be the best place for large-scale events we had about 40 people.
