Pudge Knuckles

“Cold brew at regular size is a mere $3, about 50¢-75¢ less than the average elsewhere within walking distance and a full dollar less than Blue Bottle a few blocks over.”

“If you're getting coffee on the go, might be worth stopping at Blue Bottle or Toby's (better quality coffee, but a bit pricier).”

“I usually go here to work/study but it is also a good place to meet a friend for a chat and a glass of red wine.”

  1. Good place to go on a hot day for iced coffee.  They also have a selection of food items good for a snack.  Seating is abundant and cafe is AC'ed.  Friendly staff.

I got the…I forgot what it's called but it's like a dirty chai latte, except they do it with cold brew (mine was just iced coffee, because they ran out of the cold brew), so it's not as viscous as a chai latte w/ shots.  They have almond milk, yay!

  2. My chai was't good. The line was short and they have really interesting coffee drink offerings but they're not that organized and the coffee wasn't even good at the end of the day. Friendly staff… but the cashier I had couldn't do basic math. I ended up having exact change (in coins) and it took her a solid 2-3 minutes to figure out what change she had to give me (just $2 back). I had to explain to her what she owed me  she couldn't get it together.

  3. wanted to get out of the cold so i stopped by for a warm drink. i don't drink coffee so the black and white hot chocolate intrigued me. The drink it self was good very creamy and sweet. Idk if i'm suppose to be able to taste both white chocolate and dark chocolate but it definitely tasted chocolatey…lol.

the place was spacious with comfy couches and a few long tables where ppl can get work done.

this place also accepts the CUPS app! If you're into coffee shop hopping around the city you should definitely consider getting this app. it lets you buy plans for coffee at participating shops at a discounted price! use this code for a 10$ discount: 2TVG6

  4. After an awesome SoulCycle session in Williamsburg, I decided to come to Pudge Knuckles (obviously the name won me over). The place is wonderfully adorable. There is a lot of seating, outlets, and wifi so it's good for working. However, the service was definitely sub par. The two women working looked like they hadn't smiled in 15 years, and maybe didn't even know how to. I ordered a coffee and a homemade poptart (both were awesome) and waited for a friend. When he arrived, he got the same bad attitude, but at least one of the ladies let him know she was having an off day.

He purchased a few "amazeballs" which are amazing balls of flavor, and a veggie sandwich. All tasted great, but the food took a while for the place to not be crowded at all.

Let's get some smiles going and I would definitely give this place a four or five star rating.

  5. The place lives up to its name… strong coffee!

A must if you are in the area…

  6. This spot is definitely a nice and convenient neighborhood joint for a quick cup of coffee. Their seasonal hot drinks are definitely a treat – I loved the chocolate chai latte! The food, however, was pretty meh. I got an omelette just as a quick breakfast option, and while the price was right and cheap – the taste matched a bit. Additionally, it's a bit snug on the inside, so it lends itself a lot more to the coffee shop than breakfast or lunch spot vibe. There were a lot of people on laptops working which is an ok vibe, and there are some comfier soft seating options as well. Next time I will definitely just stick with the drinks, pudge knuckles definitely succeeds more as a coffee shop than a cafe.

  7. Lovely coffee and they sell iced tea!  Also a plus, free wifi!
